For the third season of the hit series, “Only Murders In The Building”, Oscar Award-winning actress Meryl Streep joined the all-star cast alongside Paul Rudd and the trio of Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.  And she is set to return for the upcoming fourth season.

In the third season, Charles, Oliver & Mabel investigate a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show. Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) is a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short by his untimely death. Aided by co-star Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), our trio embarks on their toughest case yet, all while director Oliver desperately attempts to put his show back together.

While very little is known about the upcoming fourth season, though in the season three finale, Sazz, who is Charles’s stunt double and is played by Jane Lynch, is killed and as with the previous cliffhanger endings, will be the main focus of the team’s investigation in the fourth season.

Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich also revealed at the Television Critics Association that the fourth season will see the three characters heading to Los Angeles before returning to the Arconia in New York to find out who Sazz’s killer was.   It’s unclear how many episodes Meryl will be returning for; it could be a cameo or something more substantial. 

Recently it was also revealed that Molly Shannon will be joining the cast for the fourth film as a high-powered Los Angeles businesswoman who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in New York.

“Only Murders in the Building” hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (“Grace & Frankie,” “Looking”). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television.

The first three seasons of “Only Murders In The Building” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.  The show is also available internationally on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world.
