
Jackson White To Star In 20th Century Studios “Bumble” Movie
Recently, it was revealed that 20th Century Studios is developing a new film about the founder of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Herd, which currently doesn’t have an official title.
No plot details on the upcoming film have been revealed, but in real life, the story has been inspired by the story of Whitney Wolfe Herd, who co-founded Tinder but left in 2014 and launched the competitor, Bumble. When the company went public in 2021, Wolfe Herd became one of the youngest self-made billionaires at the age of 31. She stepped down as the CEO of the company in 2023.
The new film will feature Lily James in the lead role and be produced by her. It will also star Myha’la Herrold. The movie is currently in pre-production and will begin filming later this year in Los Angeles.
Deadline has revealed that Jackson White, has joined the cast of the movie and will be playing the love interest of Whitney Wolfe Herd. Jackson White has preivously starred in the Hulu Original series “Tell Me Lies”, along with “Ambulance” and “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines”.
Ethea Entertainment’s Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay will also be working as producers on the project. Gala Gordon is also an executive producer, and Sarah Shepard will be overseeing the project for 20th Century Studios.
It is being directed by Rachel Lee Goldenberg, who has also worked on the script with Bill Parker and Kim Caramele.
It’s unclear if this film will be released in cinemas first, or if it will be released directly onto Hulu and Disney+.
