With filming currently underway on the fourth season of “Only Murders In The Building”, more details on the cast are slowly being revealed following the news that Kumail Nanjiani, Eugene Levy, Molly Shannon and Eva Longoria, will be appearing in the new season, along with the returning Meryl Streep.

The show stars Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, who share an obsession with true crime and have a successful podcast about the murder investigations they’ve been involved with.

In the third season, the trio investigated a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show, which saw Hollywood actor star Ben Glenroy killed in the final moments.  Then, in the season finale, Sazz, who is Charles’s stunt double and is played by Jane Lynch, is killed and will be the main focus of the team’s investigation in the fourth season. 

While we know very little about the upcoming fourth season, it was revealed by Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich at the Television Critics Association that the fourth season will see the three characters heading to Los Angeles before returning to the Arconia in New York to find out who Sazz’s killer was. 

Variety has recently revealed that Zach Galifianakis has also joined the cast of the upcoming fourth season, though no details have been revealed on what character he will be playing.  Though apparently, he will be playing an individual with knowledge of the situation, he can confirm his character is “integral to the twist and turns of this season’s investigation.”

Zach Galifianakis is best known for starring in The Hangover trilogy. He has also starred in several Disney/20th-century projects, including Ron’s Gone Wrong, A Wrinkle in Time, and Birdman.

“Only Murders in the Building” hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (“Grace & Frankie,” “Looking”). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television.

The first three seasons of “Only Murders In The Building” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.  The show is also available internationally on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world. No release date has yet been announced for the fourth season.
