Filming is currently underway on the fourth season of “Only Murders In The Building”, which sees Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez, who share an obsession with true crime and have a successful podcast about the murder investigations they’ve been involved with.

In the third season, the trio investigated a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show, which saw Hollywood actor star Ben Glenroy killed in the final moments.  Then, in the season finale, Sazz, who is Charles’s stunt double and is played by Jane Lynch, is killed and will be the main focus of the team’s investigation in the fourth season. 

While we know very little about the upcoming fourth season, it was revealed by Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich at the Television Critics Association that the fourth season will see the three characters heading to Los Angeles before returning to the Arconia in New York to find out who Sazz’s killer was. 

Variety has revealed that Kumail Nanjiani has joined the cast, though no details on what character he will be playing have been revealed, except that it will be a recurring role and that Kumail’s character has knowledge of the situation says his character will be integral to this season’s investigation.

Kumail Nanjiani has previously starred in the Marvel Studios film, “Eternals” and the Hulu/Star Original series, “Welcome To Chippendales” and “History of the World, Part II.”

Also starring in the fourth season will be Eugene Levy, Molly Shannon and Eva Longoria, along with the returning Meryl Streep.

“Only Murders in the Building” hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (“Grace & Frankie,” “Looking”). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television.

The first three seasons of “Only Murders In The Building” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.  The show is also available internationally on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world. No release date has yet been announced for the fourth season.
