It’s the start of a new week and time to take a look at what’s coming to Disney+ in Canada this week, which includes new episodes of many originals, including “Shogun”, “Star Wars: The Bad Batch” and “Death And Other Details”, plus the return of the British original comedy, “Extraordinary”.

Here’s the rundown:

Tuesday 5th March 2024

Shōgun – New Episode

“Shōgun,” an original adaptation of James Clavell’s bestselling novel, is set in Japan in the year 1600 at the dawn of a century-defining civil war. Producer Hiroyuki Sanada stars as “Lord Yoshii Toranaga” who is fighting for his life as his enemies on the Council of Regents unite against him. When a mysterious European ship is found marooned in a nearby fishing village, its English pilot, “John Blackthorne” (Cosmo Jarvis), comes bearing secrets that could help Toranaga tip the scales of power and devastate the formidable influence of Blackthorne’s own enemies — the Jesuit priests and Portuguese merchants. Toranaga’s and Blackthorne’s fates become inextricably tied to their translator, “Toda Mariko” (Anna Sawai), a mysterious Christian noblewoman and the last of a disgraced line. While serving her lord amidst this fraught political landscape, Mariko must reconcile her newfound companionship with Blackthorne, her commitment to the faith that saved her and her duty to her late father.

Death And Other Details – Double Episode Finale

Set amidst the glamor of the global elite, “Death And other Details” centers on the brilliant and restless Imogene Scott (Violett Beane), who finds herself in the wrong place/wrong time (okay, it was kinda her fault) and becomes the prime suspect in a locked room murder mystery. The setting? A lavishly restored Mediterranean ocean liner. Suspects? Every pampered guest and every exhausted crew member. The problem? To prove her innocence, she must partner with a man she despises—Rufus Cotesworth (Mandy Patinkin), the world’s greatest detective.

Synduality Noir – New Episode

In 2242, Kanata meets Noir, a Magus who lost her memories; Kanata wants to become a Drifter and partners up with Noir to learn how to become one.

Extraordinary – Season 2

Season two picks up where season one spectacularly left off, following Jen (Máiréad Tyers) on her powers journey as she enrols as a client at the power clinic. Jen soon discovers that the process of finding her power isn’t as easy as she hoped, and things in the rest of her life aren’t smooth sailing either. Ex-cat, now-boyfriend Jizzlord (Luke Rollason) has had an unexpected revelation about his past, and Kash (Bilal Hasna) and Carrie (Sofia Oxenham) are attempting to be totally mature and dignified about their break-up, which is not easy when they’re still living under the same roof. It seems that Jen and the gang are dealing with new levels of adulting and chaos that none of them are prepared for.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Episode 305 “The Return”

In the epic final season of “Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” the Batch will have their limits tested in the fight to reunite with Omega as she faces challenges of her own inside a remote Imperial science lab. With the group fractured and facing threats from all directions, they will have to seek out unexpected allies, embark on dangerous missions, and muster everything they have learned to free themselves from the Empire.

The Impossible Heir – New Episode

An ambitious boy grows up and joins an intense war of desires to become a star of his own.

Ishura (S1, New Episode)

A group of superhuman warriors who once fought together to end the reign of a demon king, now fight each other to see who is the strongest warrior.

Undead Unluck – Episode 13

While Tatiana fights members of the Negator Hunters, she receives a report that Fuko was wounded by Unrepair. Tatiana unleashes her powers in order to save Fuko.

Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold (All Episodes)

The professional adventure rock climber Alex Honnold embarks on a lifelong dream – an epic climbing quest across the remotest and toughest walls and peaks of Greenland.

Death in the Dorms (S2, New Episode)

The kind of danger that no college student is ever prepared for: a life cut short just when it was getting started, not by accident but by foul play; each procedural episode will examine a different murder of a college student in the U.S.

FX’s FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans (S2, Two-Episode Premiere)

FX’s FEUD: Capote Vs. The Swans tells the story of acclaimed writer Truman Capote, once a confidante to society’s most elite women, whom he nicknamed “the swans.” However, his act of betrayal effectively destroyed those relationships, banished him from high society and sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur – Season 2

After 13-year-old supergenius Lunella accidentally brings 10-ton Tyrannosaurus rex Devil Dinosaur into present-day New York City via a time vortex, they work together to protect the city’s Lower East Side from danger.

Thursday 7th March 2024

Poor Things

From filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos and producer Emma Stone comes this incredible tale and fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter (Emma Stone), a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). Under Baxter’s protection, Bella is eager to learn. Hungry for the worldliness she is lacking, Bella runs off with Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo), a slick and debauched lawyer, on a whirlwind adventure across the continents. Free from the prejudices of her times, Bella grows steadfast in her purpose to stand for equality and liberation.

Friday 8th March 2024

Flex X -Cop – New Episode

A fun-loving rich boy gets entangled in an incident and ends up joining a violent crime investigation team.

Wonderful World – New Episode

Tells the story of Eun Soo-hyun, a successful female professor of psychology and writer whose life unravels after her son is murdered. Driven to despair, Soo-hyun becomes consumed by revenge.
