The brand new series “Tracker” is one of the biggest new shows of the year, and the strong ratings have already resulted in the show being picked up for a second season.

The series stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family. The series is based on the bestselling novel, “The Never Game” by Jeffery Deaver.

Justin Hartley has taken to social media to reveal that Jensen Ackles has been cast as Colter’s estranged brother Russell.

Throughout the first season, they have been teasing the reveal of Russell, but it’s unclear when the character will be introduced.

Jensen Ackles has previously starred in “The Boys”, “Big Sky” and “Supernatural”.

“Tracker” is produced by Disney’s 20th Television, and Justin Hartley, Ken Olin, Elwood Reid, and Ben Winters serve as executive producers.
