Disney hosted a special screening event at the BFI IMAX Theatre in London, England, earlier this evening featuring some film footage from the upcoming 20th Century Studios movie, “Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes”.

The new film is the latest instalment in the global epic franchise and is set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously, and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.

Some of the film’s stars and filmmakers attended the event, including Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, director/producer Wes Ball, and Andy Serkis, star of the original trilogy.

Edith Bowman hosted the event, which included seeing the first 32 minutes of the film and a montage.

Here are some photos from the event:

Disney has also released a new featurette about the legacy of the “Planet Of The Apes”:

“Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” opens in movie theatres globally on May 10th, 2024, and will be available in IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, ScreenX, and premium screens everywhere.  And we should expect to see the movie released on Disney+ later this year.

In the meantime, while we wait for the latest movie, you can find many of the previous “Planet Of The Apes” films on Hulu and Disney+.

Are you looking forward to watching
