One of the many new Marvel Studios productions heading to Disney+ in the future is “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”, which will see Kathryn Hahn returning as the evil witch, Agatha Harkness, who was introduced in the Disney+ series, “WandaVision”.

The new Disney+ series will also star Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Maria Dizzia. Debra Jo Rupp and Emma Caufield are also returning for “Agatha: Coven of Chaos,” who are returning to the roles they played in the “WandaVision” Disney+ series. Other actors returning from “WandaVision” include David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, and Kate Forbes.

During a recent interview with Mashable, Sasheer Zamata has revealed more details on her role in the upcoming Disney+ series.  She will be playing the role of sorceress Jennifer Kale, a character first introduced in a “Man-Thing” comic book in 1972.  The character is also the cousin of the “Ghost Rider”, Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch.  In the comic books, the character has teamed up with many different heroes, including Doctor Strange, Howard The Duck, and Midnight Sons and X-Force teams. Jennifer Kale held tremendous potential for wielding magic and has since honed it through many years of intensive training and tutelage.   Sasheer shared that she has been doing research into the character, saying:

“I definitely did do as much [comic book] research as I could, but the way we formed this character is very different from what I think people expect.”

Sasheer Zamata is set to release a new comedy special on YouTube later this month, where she talks about witches, which has turned into a theme for her recent work, saying in the interview:

“I had already written material for [The First Woman] before I went through the audition process.  It felt magical that I got to be in a show about witches. I talk about it so much in my special.”

And Sasheer also shared her experience working on the show:

When discussing her experience on set, Zamata couldn’t contain her enthusiasm. “[Shooting the show] was so magical and ethereal. It brought that out of everyone on set.  There were crystals and candles everywhere. We saged and cleansed the stage all the time. It was the perfect environment for me.”

Recently, “Secret Invasion” actor, Emila Clarke shared her experience working on a Marvel show, where the team’s security enforced strict rules to prevent information from getting out early.   Sasheer shared her own experience working on “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”:

“I got the exact same spiel that Emilia did. ‘Don’t take pictures in hotel rooms. They could come find you. I was so scared to have physical scripts. After I was done with them, I would just throw them at a producer!”

“Agatha: Coven of Chaos” was written by Megan McDonnell, Peter Cameron, Laura Donney, and Cameron Squires. “WandaVision” creator and exec producer Jac Schaeffer is also the showrunner on Disney+ original series and has also directed some of the episodes. Gandja Monteiro has also directed on the show.

While we wait for “Agatha: Coven Of Chaos”, you can watch “WandaVision” on Disney+ now.
