Recently we reported on a new Disney+ Original series based on the 20th Century Fox movie, “Love, Simon”, which was based on the novel “Simon vs the Homosapien Agenda”, and now details on the lead character have been revealed by Geeks Worldwide.

The main character is called Victor, who is a Latinx “closeted, really cute, athletic, well-liked, warm-hearted high school soccer star.”

They are currently casting for a actor aged around 16/17 years old.  Filming on this new series will start in mid-August and will be filmed in Los Angeles.

Recently Disney CEO Bob Iger said they are looking to utilize many of Fox’s franchises for it streaming service including reboots and sequels.

No official information on this new series have yet been announced but the novels writer Becky Albertalli did confirm that it’s not a remake of the first movie or a adaption of the novel’s sequel, Leah On The Offbeat.
