Disney CEO Confirms “Ms Marvel” Will Be The Next Marvel Disney+ Series
Last year, Disney announced that three new Marvel Studios series would be coming to Disney+ in 2022, “Moon Knight”, “Ms Marvel” and “She-Hulk”. The next new series to arrive on Disney+ is “Moon Knight”, which will see its first episode released later this month on March 30th.
During today’s Annual Shareholder Meeting, Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirmed that the next Marvel Studios Disney+ series to release after “Moon Knight” will be “Ms. Marvel”, which will be coming to Disney+ this summer.
The good news is that Disney has requested that Hollywood Blvd be closed on June 2nd for a premiere of “Ms. Marvel” at The El Capitan Theatre. Usually, a Los Angeles premiere takes place a week or two before a Disney+ series or film is released, so it does give us an idea of roughly when “Ms Marvel” will arrive on Disney+.
Though, if Disney continues its trend of not overlapping Star Wars and Marvel Disney+ series, with “Obi-Wan Kenobi” being released on Disney+ on May 25th, all six episodes would be released by the end of June.
“Ms Marvel” is an Inhuman with stretchy powers, though it’s expected that her abilities and origin may be changed for the upcoming series. Much like with the other Marvel Disney+ series, no plot details have been revealed on the “Ms Marvel” show, but it was previously announced that Iman Vellani will star in the title role.
With the confirmation that “Ms Marvel”, it also means that “She-Hulk” will be arriving on Disney+ later this year after “Ms. Marvel”. This likely means that “She-Hulk” will be arriving much later in the year, possibly in the fall.
Are you looking forward to “Ms Marvel” arriving on Disney+?
