Could Marvel’s “Black Widow” Be Coming To Disney+ Premier Access?
Last May, Disney was going to release the first movie from the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Black Widow” in cinemas, however, due to the pandemic, the film was delayed until November 2020, but with the situation still no different, the film was pushed back to May 2021.
While many had hoped 2021 was going to be different, film studios have been delaying multiple movies over the past week to later in the year, with Disney reshuffling many of its 20th Century Studios release dates.
With current box office numbers at an all-time low due to the pandemic, Murphy’s Multiverse is reporting that”Black Widow” might not be delayed again and will be released with a hybrid model. Disney is testing the waters in March with “Raya and the Last Dragon”, which is being released in cinemas, as well on Disney+ Premier Access for $29.99. So if this is successful, Disney might try doing the same with “Black Widow”. Last year, Disney released “Mulan” on Disney+ Premier Access and has never released financial numbers on how that film performed.
Unlike other films being released this year, “Black Widow” is part of a much bigger universe, with connections to other films and new Disney+ series. Disney has multiple Marvel films scheduled to be released this year including “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings” and “The Eternals”, plus many Disney+ shows, which are expected to be connected to “Black Widow”. So delaying the film again, might not be as easy.
In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller “Black Widow,” Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
Would you pay $29.99 to watch “Black Widow” on Disney+ Premier Access?
Hurry up already and let me watch this movie! Been hanging for this for so long!
I would rather watch Black Widow in cinema, I dont like the fact that I have to pay extra to watch something on a service I am already paying for! I would go to cinema to watch it but otherwise will be waiting till it comes to non premium Disney+
You’d be paying to go to the cinema... you’d be paying to watch a film that would be available in the cinema at that time. The only difference being the ability to watch from home, at release, with no fear of contracting COVID, but you do you boo.
Not me. A family of 4 adult tickets, parking, concessions? I'll gladly pay $30 to be able to watch it at home, it'll be a lot cheaper.
I would not pay. I didn't pay for Mulan I watched it from a Plex server a friend of mine has. I will do the same with this. I already pay for the streaming service already hell.
If Disney+ Premier Access was a one-time charge for $30, heck $60 to watch all the premier access movies, I would buy $60. If you have to pay $30 for each movie that is labeled Disney+ Premier Access, would rather ?????
