Top 100 Series On Disney+ | February 2021 (US)
Each month, I bring you my list of the top series available on Disney+, which include series from across the Disney, Star Wars, Marvel, National Geographic and Pixar franchises. This month I’m making a big change to the list, expanding it from 50 to 100 and focusing this list purely on what’s available in the United States, since internationally, the list of series available is drastically different.
With almost 300 different series available on Disney+ now, this list is here to give you a selection of different content available, mixing together Disney+ Originals, classic series, new shows, documentaries and much more.
Note – Some of these shows might not be available in all regions.
Here is the “What’s On Disney Plus” Top 100 series on Disney+ for February 2021 in the US:
100) Meet The Chimps
“Meet the Chimps” takes viewers into the secret life of one of the largest and most unique wildlife sanctuaries in the world – Chimp Haven—a 200-acre refuge tucked deep in the forested heart of Louisiana, which is home to more than 300 chimpanzees. Narrated by Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch, this six-part series, from National Geographic, tracks the ups and downs of this extraordinary group of chimps that are given a second chance at life by a staff whose dedication, compassion and commitment knows no bounds. Through a seamless blend of natural history and observational-documentary filmmaking, “Meet the Chimps” puts the chimps – the heart and soul of the series – at front and center. A real-life drama with a full emotional range, the series gives unparalleled access to everything happening at Chimp Haven, including food squabbles, alliances, romances, ‘bromances’, tears, tantrums, high jinxes and heartbreaks.
99) Lost Treasures of the Maya
This National Geographic series looks into a new “treasure map” of the Maya world that is transforming what we thought we knew of one of the world most mysterious ancient civilizations. I’ve visited many Mayan sites throughout Central America and found this to be an extremely interesting series.
98) The Lion Guard
Disney’s 1994 classic “The Lion King” is one of the most beloved animated films in the company’s storied history. This follow-up series introduces Simba’s son, fun-loving Kion, who is happy that his sister, Kiara, is destined to rule the Pride Lands. He soon discovers that as the second-born he has his own destiny: to lead the Lion Guard, a team that protects the Pride Lands and defends the Circle of Life. As the leader, Kion receives the Roar of the Elders; a power that makes him the fiercest creature in the land. But he can’t do it alone, so he assembles a team of animals who are brave, strong and fast. His team includes honey badger Bunga, hippo Beshte, cheetah Fuli and egret Ono.
97) Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja (Season 1-2)
Randy Cunningham is a ninth-grader who is an unlikely hero with a superhuman ninja suit, the NinjaNomicon. Randy uses the suit and help from his best friend, Howard, to battle evil while trying to survive high school and guard his secret identity — all while trying to protect his school and the world from certain destruction. Seems like an average life for a high-school freshman, right?
96) The Big Fib
Ever thought you could spot a fib better than a kid? Find out on The Big Fib. A new Disney+ game show, hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown and featuring Rhys Darby as her robot sidekick, C.L.I.V.E. In each episode of this comedy game show, a kid starts by playing a warm-up round where a silly liar and an authentic expert share fabulous fibs and fun facts. Starring up and coming comedic talent, this round is played for laughs as well as always having a nugget of real information about the topic be it ice-cream, tree-climbing or toy design. Next our kid contestant plays the main round where they question an expert who’s paired with a really good liar on the same topic. It’s up to our kid to find the fibber. There are visual clues, fascinating props, a hot seat round of rapid-fire questions and various topics, including jellyfish, venom and killer plants. The show culminates with the expert and liar standing under the Fib Foam machine to await their fate. If our kid chooses correctly, the liar gets foamed. The Big Fib is full of outrageous truths that sound like lies and audacious lies that sound like the truth. You’ll only find this series on Disney+.
95) Kim Possible
Kim Possible is an animated series about a teenage crime fighter who has the task of dealing with worldwide, family, and school issues every day. The show is action-oriented, but also has a light-hearted atmosphere and often lampoons the conventions and clichés of the secret-agent and action genres.
94) Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue
The extraordinary staff at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region risk their lives and give their hearts to save all animals big and small. With 5,400 square miles of rugged Colorado terrain in their jurisdiction, the Pikes Peak team works together to rescue and rehabilitate more than 40,000 animals a year. The job is risky, urgent, and unpredictable as the team responds to emergency calls in the untamed wilderness. Watch the incredible stories of nature, animals, and the unwavering perseverance of the officers and veterinarians of Rocky Mountain Animal Rescue.
93) Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy
After the huge success of the live-action movie, this animated series follows the adventures of Star-Lord, the brash adventurer who, to save the universe from its greatest threats, who joins forces with a quartet of disparate misfits — Rocket Raccoon, Groot, Gamora and Drax the Destroyer. If you want some more adventures of this motley crew, this animated series should keep you covered.
92) The Rocketeer
Disney Junior’s “The Rocketeer” follows Kit, a young girl who receives a surprise package on her birthday revealing she’s next in line to become the Rocketeer, a legendary superhero who has the ability to fly with the help of a rocket-pack. Armed with her cool new gear and secret identity, Kit is ready to take flight and save the day with her gadget-minded best friend, Tesh, and Butch the bulldog by her side. Inspired by Dave Stevens’ popular comic book series and the subsequent 1991 Walt Disney Pictures feature film (which is also on Disney+) and geared towards kids 2-7 and their families, each episode of “The Rocketeer” features two 11-minute stories and includes an original song.
91) One Day At Disney
This hour long documentary gives us an insight into a specific Disney Cast Member, who drive creativity and innovation at The Walt Disney Company. There is also over additional 50 shorts, that are being released weekly, both the short and full length documentary Cast Members at Shanghai Disneyland, to ESPN to Pixar and even from the set of Modern Family. Some of the Cast Members are more interesting than others but there will be something for everyone.
90) PJ Masks
During the day, Amaya, Connor and Greg lead totally normal lives, but they transform into superheroes during the night and use their powers to fight villains and solve mysteries.
89) Into The Unknown: Making Frozen 2
With the clock ticking and less than a year until the world premiere of Frozen 2, the filmmakers, artists, songwriters and cast open their doors to cameras for a six-part documentary series to reveal the hard work, heart, and collaboration it takes to create one of the most highly-anticipated films in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ near-century of moviemaking. For the first time, cameras were there to capture an eye-opening – and at times jaw-dropping – view of the challenges and the breakthroughs, the artistry, creativity and the complexity of creating the #1 animated feature of all time.
The series follows director/writer/chief creative officer Jennifer Lee, director Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho, songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, actors Kristen Bell (“Anna”), Idina Menzel (“Elsa”), Josh Gad (“Olaf”), Jonathan Groff (“Kristoff”), Sterling K. Brown (“Lieutenant Mattias”), Evan Rachel Wood (“Iduna”) and the talented artists and technicians of Disney Animation as they race against time to finish the film, with both creative breakthroughs and frustrations along the way. If you’re interested in what goes into making an animated movie, this is the documentary for you.
88) Gargoyles
Gargoyles is one of later popular shows from the Afternoon Series in the 1990’s and the series is credited for its relatively dark tone, complex story arcs, and melodrama; character arcs were heavily employed throughout the series, as were Shakespearean themes.
87) Puppy Dog Pals
Fun-loving pug puppies, brothers Bingo and Rolly, have thrill-seeking appetites that take them on exhilarating adventures in their neighborhood and around the globe. Whether helping their owner Bob, assisting a friend in need or exploring with their pal Keia, the pugs’ motto is that life is more exciting with your best friend by your side. Each episode features two 11-minute stories that showcase Bingo and Rolly’s similarities and differences while demonstrating positive lessons about friendship, problem-solving, collaboration, creativity and adventure. This is one of the most popular kids shows available on Disney+.
86) Be Our Chef
“Be Our Chef,” a new Disney inspired cooking competition series, invites five diverse food-loving families to create themed dishes, all inspired by the magic of Disney. The families will compete for a once in a lifetime opportunity to present their very own Disney signature dish to be served at Disney Parks. In each episode, hosted by “The Office” star Angela Kinsey, two of the five families go head-to-head in a themed cook-off challenge, using family traditions and learned skills, all while representing their family through the Disney lens. The two families with the most wins make it to the spectacular finale, where they compete for the grand prize. The winner’s magical food creation will then become a signature dish or treat served at Walt Disney World. The series is hosted by “The Office,” star Angela Kinsey and will feature five diverse families and Disney World Chefs.
85) Wizards Of Waverly Place
One of most popular Disney Channel series from the noughties, sees Alex, Justin and Max Russo are not your ordinary kids – they’re wizards in training! While their parents run the Waverly Sub Station, the siblings struggle to balance their ordinary lives while learning to master their extraordinary powers.
84) Marvel Hero Project
This 20-episode Disney+ series shares the remarkable, positive change several young heroes are making in their own communities across the country. These inspiring kids have dedicated their lives to selfless acts of bravery and kindness, and now, Marvel celebrates them as the true Super Heroes they are by welcoming them into Marvel’s Hero Project.
83) The Muppets
The Muppets return with a contemporary, documentary-style show, which is similar to “The Office”. For the first time ever, this series explored the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires.
82) Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers
One of the all time classic animated series from the 1980’s, Disney’s fun-loving chipmunks are re-imagined as the leaders of a team of pint-sized crime-fighters, rounding out the team are two mice, Gadget Hackwrench and Monterey Jack and Zipper, a fly. This was one of the series I used to adore as a child and is one no doubt many more people will be going back to.
81) Muppets Now
“Muppets Now” is The Muppets Studio’s first unscripted series and first original series for Disney+. In the six-episode season, Scooter rushes to make his delivery deadlines and upload the brand-new Muppet series for streaming. They are due now, and he’ll need to navigate whatever obstacles, distractions, and complications the rest of the Muppet gang throws at him. A great show for Muppet fans old and new alike.
80) Out There With Jack Randall
At just 14 years old, Jack Randall left his home in England to become an apprentice to Steve Irwin, learning to handle snakes and other reptiles. Today, he treks into the wild to teach others about anacondas, crocodiles and other amazing animals. Take a walk on the wild side with Randall as he searches for exotic, endangered and iconic species in some of the most unforgiving environments on the planet. No animal is too creepy or dangerous for him to get his hands on!
79) Wild Russia
Wild Russia charts a journey across this vast land that stretches from Europe to the Pacific Ocean. Covering 11 time zones, this huge country contains a wealth of unspoilt natural wildernesses – beyond the huge cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg, a primal world with rough mountain summits, wild rivers and an unmatched flora and fauna reveals itself.
Through unprecedented access we showcase the wild spectacle that is the Russian continent. Across six dramatic episodes we explore this diverse and even exotic country. Russia is a place of superlatives proving that size does matter. Few countries are home to such extraordinary mammals: the Amur Tiger is the world’s largest cat; the Polar Bear is the world’s largest land predator; massive brown bears scour the rivers in search of salmon. The Russian skies are home to the world’s largest owl and majestic sea eagles. In the freezing northern waters, walruses and Beluga whales hunt for fish. It also provides a refuge for some for some incredibly rare species – including the beautiful and elusive Amur Leopard.
78) Sydney To The Max
Set in the present day with flashbacks to the 1990s, the endearing daughter/father comedy revolves around outgoing middle schooler Sydney Reynolds who lives with her single dad Max in the house he grew up in, along with her free-spirited grandmother Judy. As Sydney navigates becoming a teenager alongside her bestie Olive, Max’s flashbacks of his childhood with his best friend Leo parallel her adventures, illustrating how life’s “growing pains” evolve but don’t really change.
77) Milo Murphy’s Law
Milo Murphy is the personification of Murphy’s Law where anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Suffering from Extreme Hereditary Murphy’s Law condition (EHML), Milo always looks to make the best of the cards he’s been dealt and his endless optimism and enthusiasm can turn any catastrophe into a wild adventure. Together, he and his friends will learn that it’s all about a positive attitude and not to sweat the big stuff… and it’s all big stuff.
76) Secrets Of The Zoo
With nearly 6,000 veterinary cases and well over 100 births each year, the team at the Columbus Zoo has no shortage of incredible drama.
75) Darkwing Duck
Darkwing Duck is one of the most popular series from the Disney Afternoon period in the 1990’s and it featured the eponymous anthropomorphic duck superhero whose alter ego is mild-mannered single quacker Drake Mallard. This one will no doubt be very popular for anyone from the “Afternoon” era.
74) Weird But True
Did you know there are more stars in the universe, than grains of sand on the whole planet?! So weird! National Geographic’s newest season of “Weird But True!” on Disney+ gets even weirder! Children’s entertainers and educators Charlie Engelman and Carly Ciarrocchi host the third season of the Emmy Award-winning series, and this time, they’re embarking on even more imaginative and strange adventures to reveal surprising and interesting facts about the world. Set both in studio and in the field, the award-winning “Weird But True!” integrates a mix of arts and crafts, unbelievable facts and real-life exploration. The third season is available exclusively on Disney+.
73) Shop Class
A new competition series featuring teams of young builders, who are tasked with designing, building, and testing unique creations. In each episode, a panel of experts will evaluate and test their work based on design creativity, and build functionality. In the finale episode, one team will be named “Shop Class” Champs. A fun competition series the whole family can watch together.
72) Earth To Ned
From the Jim Henson Company comes a late-night talk show hosted by alien commander Ned and his lieutenant Cornelius, who call off the invasion of Earth after they fall in love with human culture. Broadcasting from the bridge of their spaceship, hidden deep underground, Ned and Cornelius interview Earth’s greatest resource, celebrities. With the help of the ship’s artificial intelligence, BETI, and the destructive CLODs, Ned must keep his show a secret from his home planet or suffer the wrath of his father, the Admiral of the Galactic Fleet. Totally nuts but worth checking out, especially as more episodes were added in January.
71) The Proud Family
“The Proud Family” follows the adventures and misadventures of Penny, a 14-year-old African American girl who’s doing her best to navigate through the early years of teen-dom. Penny’s every encounter inevitably spirals into bigger than life situations filled with hi-jinks, hilarity and heart. Her quest to balance her home, school and social lives are further complicated by friends like the sassy Dijonay, Penny’s nemesis LaCienega Boulevardez, her loving, if not over-protective parents and her hip-to-the-groove-granny, Suga Mama. A new revival of this series is also due to be coming to Disney+ in 2021.
70) America’s Funniest Home Videos
America’s Funniest Home Videos is the longest-running primetime entertainment show in ABC history. Each week AFV shines the spotlight on hilarious videos. Fans tune in to witness failures and fiascos and to submit their own mishaps for their chance at stardom.
69) Spider-Man: Maximum Venom
The web-slinging series follows Peter Parker, who is learning to navigate life as the teenage superhero Spider-Man. Now going into his third year at Horizon High, Peter is confident he can handle anything that comes his way, but he’s pushed to his breaking point when Venom summons an earth-shattering threat from its home planet. There are many different Spider-Man series available on Disney+, so if your child loves Spider-Man, there is plenty to choose from.
68) Big Hero 6: The Series
This series is a sequel to the animated classic and follows Hiro as he now faces daunting academic challenges and the social trials of being the little man on campus. Off campus, the stakes are raised for the high-tech heroes as they must protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains. Though the animation style is slightly different, for fans of the movie, this is worth looking into.
68) CAR SOS
For something completely different to anything else on Disney+, this show sees parts-blagging Petrol Head Tim Shaw and Master Mechanic Fuzz Townshend are determined to hunt down charismatic cars with deserving owners and get their pride and joy up and running and back on the road… where they belong.
67) Amphibia
The adventures of 13-year-old, self-centered Anne Boonchuy who is magically transported to the fictitious world of Amphibia, a rural marshland full of frog-people. With the help of an excitable young frog named Sprig, Anne will transform into a hero and discover the first true friendship of her life.
66) Inside Pixar
A documentary series of personal and cinematic stories that provide an inside look into the people, artistry, and culture of Pixar Animation Studios. An interesting look at some of the people who work at Pixar.
65) Becoming
Becoming chronicles the inspirational life stories of world-class entertainers, musicians and athletes. Each episode follows a different celebrity back to their hometown as they revisit memorable locations that were central to their upbringing. Family members, coaches, teachers, mentors, and close friends share significant, personal memories of the subjects before they hit it big. These rarely heard stories provide an intimate look into the central moments in each star’s journey towards becoming who they are today.
64) The Suite Life of Zack & Cody
This classic Disney Channel sitcom tells the story of two 11 year-old identical twins called Zack and Cody, who are the newest residents of Boston’s swanky Tipton Hotel. Living in a suite with their mom Carey, the boys treat the tipton like their own personal playground.
63) Elena Of Avalor
The story of a brave teenager who has saved her kingdom from an evil sorceress and must now learn to rule as a crown princess until she’s old enough to be queen. This show features positive messages for young viewers, but is still enjoyable for all ages.
62) Drain The Oceans
Maritime mysteries — old and new — come to life in this series, which combines scientific data and digital re-creations to reveal shipwrecks, treasures, and sunken cities on the bottom of lakes, seas and oceans around the world. Another National Geographic series perfect for adults to enjoy. There are also multiple specials available from within the “Drains” franchise including one based on the Titanic and much more.
61) Primal Survivor
Hazen Audel embarks on an epic trek that will mirror a traditional Berber nomad journey across the Saharan desert cauldron to an oasis.
60) Kingdom Of The White Wolf
Journey to the Arctic with National Geographic Explorer Ronan Donovan to witness a gorgeous and desolate world where wolves hunt, howl and raise their families. As we embed with the pack, experience unprecedented intimacy with a species steeped in legend, rumor and fear. This one-of-a-kind special blends classic blue-chip wildlife filmmaking with immersive, raw and breathless reality to showcase these wolves in their natural habitat. This is one of the newest series available on the early trial of Disney+ in the Netherlands. Highly recommended.
59) Great Migrations
Great Migrations is an epic nature documentary that features the great migrations of animals across the globe. The seven-part show is the largest programming events in the history of National Geographic If you love animal documentaries, this is one of the best and well worth checking out.
58) Rogue Trip
One for travel fans. Rogue Trip is a travel guide to all the places the average tourist is least likely to venture – the roguish nations, territories and regions often misunderstood and frequently overlooked, but each possessing a unique power to surprise, amaze and inspire. Led by ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff and his 28-year-old son, Mack Woodruff, the two will take viewers on a globe-trotting adventure that will expose the grit and glamour of travel. They’ll share inside jokes, dirty laundry and cramped hotel rooms as Bob teaches his son about the hidden places he loves most. Expect the unexpected in this father-son guide to the beautiful, breathtaking and often hopeful experiences to be had on the edge of chaos.
57) Dog Whisper With Cesar Millan
If you’re a dog owner, this one might be worth putting some time into, especially if they are a little misbehaved. Cesar Millan has been called the Dr. Phil for Dogs. With an uncanny ability to rehabilitate problem dogs of all shapes and sizes. Each episode of the Dog Whisperer documents the remarkable transformations that take place under Cesar’s guidance and teaching, helping dogs and their owners live happier lives together.
56) Marvel’s Inhumans
This live action series is often overlooked by Marvel fans due to the bad reception it received, but its still worth checking out. In Marvel’s The Inhumans, it explores the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family of a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers. While it might not be up to the standard of other Marvel shows, I enjoyed learning more about this group of superheroes.
55) On Pointe
“On Pointe” is a six-part docu-series that captures a season in the School of American Ballet (SAB) in New York City. Featuring unprecedented access to the famous ballet institution, the series follows the lives of the students ages 8 to 18 pursuing their dreams to become ballet dancers. While older students from all over the country rigorously train for professional careers, younger students from New York City are put through their paces as they rehearse and perform in New York City Ballet’s holiday classic “George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker” onstage at Lincoln Center. The entire season is available exclusively on Disney+
54) Star Wars Resistance
This new animated series set before the events of “The Force Awakens” follows Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot for the Resistance, is tasked with a top secret mission to investigate the First Order, a growing threat in the galaxy. The animation style is very different to “The Clone Wars” and “Rebels”, but if you want a more modern Star Wars animated series, try it out.
53) Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian
This documentary series pulls back the curtain on The Mandalorian. Each chapter explores a different facet of the first live-action Star Wars television show through interviews, behind the scenes footage, and roundtable conversations hosted by Jon Favreau. The first season consists of 8 episodes based on making the first season, while the second season is covered in a single episode. If you love “The Mandalorian” and want to know more about how they made it, this is for you.
52) Marvel’s 616
“Marvel’s 616” explores Marvel’s rich legacy of pioneering characters, creators and storytelling to reflect the world outside your window. Each documentary, helmed by a unique filmmaker, showcases the intersections of storytelling, pop culture, and fandom within the Marvel Universe. Episodes in this anthology series will cover topics including Marvel’s world-spanning artists, the trailblazing women of Marvel Comics, discovering the “forgotten” characters of Marvel, and much more.
51) Big City Greens
The offbeat adventures of 10-year-old Cricket Green, a mischievous and optimistic country boy who moves to the big city with his wildly out of place family – older sister Tilly, father Bill and Gramma Alice.
50) Ice Road Rescue (S1-4)
On Ice Road Rescue, an elite force of rescue workers battles round-the-clock to keep these roads open. In this season, the men face a new enemy: the extreme weather. Unpredictable changes in temperature, heavy rain and sudden blizzards make this winter the roughest one yet in the ultimate battle of man versus nature.
49) Legend Of The Three Caballeros
This animated series featuring Donald Duck, Jóse Carioca and Panchito Pistoles is only available on Disney+. The trio finds themselves inheritors of a heroic legacy and resume their ancestors’ quest with the aid of a valiant Greek goddess.
48) Running Wild With Bear Grylls
The famed survivalist takes A-list celebrities on journeys into the wildest locations around the world, forcing the stars to push their bodies and minds to the limit to successfully complete the adventure of a lifetime.
47) Wicked Tuna
Fishing is a hard life, and harder with bluefin stocks depleted. In Gloucester, Massachusetts, there’s a special breed of fishermen. For generations, they’ve used rod and reel to catch the elusive bluefin tuna. They depend on these fish for their livelihood, and the competition is brutal. Over the next 10 weeks, the most skilled fishermen will set out in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic in hopes of catching the valuable bluefin tuna. When one bluefin can bring in as much as $20,000—they’ll do whatever it takes to hook up. There is also a spin-off series, Wicked Tuna – Outer Banks available.
46) Good Luck Charlie
One of the few Disney Channel sitcoms that appeals to families, not just for children. It focuses on a Denver family, the Duncans, as they try to adjust to the births of their fourth and fifth children, Charlotte “Charlie” Duncan and Toby Duncan. In each episode, Teddy Duncan creates a video diary containing advice for Charlie about their family and life as a teenager, with each video diary ends with Teddy saying the eponymous phrase, “Good luck, Charlie”. One of the few sitcoms available currently on Disney+.
45) Prop Culture
This Disney+ Original series takes a look at behind the scenes of the movie-making world, with film historian and prop collector Dan Lanigan reuniting iconic Disney movie props with the filmmakers, actors, and crew who created and used them in some of Disney’s most beloved films. Throughout this journey, Dan will recover lost artefacts, visit private collections, and help restore pieces from the Walt Disney Archives to their original glory. Among the films featured this season are Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, Mary Poppins, The Muppet Movie, Tron and Who Framed Roger Rabbit? If you are interested in learning more about making movies, this is a must-watch.
44) Encore
In this Disney+ exclusive series, Kristen Bell is giving one high school musical cast from 20 years ago the chance for a nationally televised Encore! If you love musicals, you’ll want to check this one out.
43) Cosmos
Famed astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson provides clarity for the vision of the cosmos as he voyages across the universe with never-before-told stories that delve into the scientific concepts of the laws of gravity and the origins of space and time. This is a fascinating documentary series about space.
42) Gordon Ramsey – Uncharted
Globetrotting celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay serves up an epic adventure in “Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted.” He travels around the world meeting with indigenous people to learn about their foods and cultures. In each location, he harvests new ingredients and samples new dishes. He also teams up with local legends to cook feasts to present to the native peoples.
41) Marvel’s The Runaways
One of Marvel’s modern live-action series, this series focuses on six teenagers who discover their parents are evil and must unite against them. While also discovering that they have superpowers and a pet Dinosaur. All three seasons of the show are now available on Disney+
40) Pick Of The Litter
A docu-series based on the film of the same name, featuring the stories of service animals, their trainers, and their human companions. Follow the six loveable dogs ; Paco, Pacino, Tulane, Raffi, Amara, and Tartan as they embark on a fascinating and suspenseful quest to become Guide Dogs For the Blind, the ultimate canine career. As someone who has done Guide Dog Puppy Walking as a kid, I’ve found this series to be very educational, plus it’s got lots of cute puppies, so that gives it a bonus point!
39) Brain Games
“Brain Games” is a groundbreaking series that uses interactive experiments, misdirection and tricks to demonstrate how our brains create the illusion of seamless reality through our memory, through our sensory perception, and how we focus our attention. With 7 seasons to binge, there is plenty here to give your brain a workout.
38) Dr Oakley Yukon Vet
Spanning thousands of acres and incorporating hundreds of species of animals; Michelle Oakley’s veterinary practise is Yukon tough. There is no such thing as a typical day in Michelle’s practice. House calls can range from expelling dogs anal glands to getting chased down by the very large Arctic musk-ox. Accompanied by her teenage daughters and armed with humour as sharp as scalpel, Michelle deftly juggles being a full-time Veterinarian, wife and doctor; taking us into unexplored and unexamined regions of the Yukon.
37) Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney+’s “Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom,” from National Geographic and narrated by the award-winning, fan-favourite Josh Gad, gives viewers a backstage pass to explore the magic of nature within Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and The Seas with Nemo & Friends at EPCOT. Each of the eight episodes dives into the details, unveiling the multifaceted aspects of animal care, conservation and Disney Imagineering and showcases the parks’ magnificent array of more than 300 species and 5,000-plus animals and the herculean tasks their animal care experts undertake to keep things running day and night. If you love the Animal Kingdom theme park, this is a must-watch!
36) The Incredible Dr Pol
Set in Central Michigan’s farm country, this reality series follows the work done at Pol Veterinary Services. Specializing in large farm animals, Dr. Pol treats horses, pigs, cows, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens and even an occasional reindeer. The program also features Dr. Brenda Grettenberger, who has worked with Dr. Pol since 1992. And this month there has been a few new additional series and specials added.
35) Bluey
Bluey follows the adventures of a lovable and inexhaustible six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy who lives with her dad, mum and four-year-old little sister, Bingo. In every episode, Bluey uses her limitless Blue Heeler energy to play elaborate games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways.
34) Disney Fairy Tale Weddings
This reality show gives us a behind-the-scenes look at weddings and one-of-a-kind engagements that take place at Disney Destinations around the globe, including Walt Disney World, Disneyland and Disney Cruise Lines. The show is hosted by Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell. If you love weddings and Disney, this has everything you need. The second season is only available on Disney+.
33) Star vs. The Forces of Evil
The biggest new addition to Disney+ this month, which sees an intergalactic warrior Star Butterfly arrive on Earth to live with the Diaz family. She continues to battle villains throughout the universe and high school, mainly to protect her extremely powerful wand, an object that still confuses her.
32) Sonny With A Chance
Allison “Sonny” Munroe makes the leap from the Midwest to Los Angeles to join the cast of “So Random!,” the most popular sketch comedy TV show for kids and tweens. Her fellow young actors are resident teen queen Tawni, super suave Nico, gregarious funnyman Grady and quirky Zora. Now Sonny must somehow balance these new friendships while adjusting to her family’s decidedly different way of life in Hollywood. Meanwhile, Sonny must also contend with heartthrob Chad Dylan Cooper, star of the rival show “MacKenzie Falls,” who makes it known that he thinks his dramatic work is better than her comedy career.
31) The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse
In “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse,” it’s nothing but fun and excitement for Mickey and his best pals – Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto – as they embark on their greatest adventures yet, navigating the curveballs of a wild and zany world where the magic of Disney makes the impossible possible. Each seven-minute short is filled with laugh-out-loud comedy, modern settings, timeless stories, new music and the unmistakable classic art style of the “Mickey Mouse” shorts. The series will include stories inspired by various lands at Disney parks and cameos by classic Disney heritage characters. The entire first season is available now on Disney+.
30) Diary of a Future President
In “Diary of a Future President,” we get to see the origin story of a future leader. Told using the narration of 12-year-old Cuban American girl Elena’s diary, this new family comedy follows her journey through the ups and downs of middle school, which set her on the path to becoming the president of the United States.
29) Tron Rising
TRON: Uprising is part of the TRON franchise and is set between Tron and Tron: Legacy movies, so if you enjoyed the Tron universe, this is worth checking out. A young program named Beck becomes a leader of a revolution in The Grid. Beck is trained by Tron to become a great warrior, teaching him fighting skills and mentoring him as he becomes a powerful leader. Beck’s destiny is to lead a revolution to stop the reign of Clu 2 and his henchman General Tesler, and to lead his home and friends to freedom.
28) The Owl House
“The Owl House” is an animated fantasy-comedy series that follows Luz, a self-assured teenage girl who accidentally stumbles upon a portal to a magical world where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and an adorably tiny warrior, King. Despite not having magical abilities, Luz pursues her dream of becoming a witch by serving as Eda’s apprentice at the Owl House and ultimately finds a new family in an unlikely setting.
27) Star Wars Rebels
Set between the events of Star Wars: Episodes III and IV, when the evil Galactic Empire is tightening its grip of power on the galaxy. The motley crew of the starship Ghost make a stand against the Empire. And together, they will face threatening new villains, encounter colourful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures, and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion. If you are a fan of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, this is a must-watch and also helps fill in those gaps between the two trilogies.
26) Raven’s Home
Single mother Raven Baxter panics when she notices that Booker, one of her children, starts showing psychic abilities. There are also multiple seasons of “That’s So Raven” available on Disney+.
25) The World According To Jeff Goldblum
Through the prism of Jeff Goldblum’s always inquisitive and highly entertaining mind, nothing is as it seems. Each episode is centred around something we all love — like sneakers or ice cream — as Jeff pulls the thread on these deceptively familiar objects and unravels a wonderful world of astonishing connections, fascinating science and history, amazing people, and a whole lot of surprising big ideas and insights. You will only find this show on Disney+.
24) Disney Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure
Set between the stories told in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ acclaimed film “Tangled” and its short film “Tangled Ever After,” this visually vibrant animated adventure-comedy series unfolds as Rapunzel acquaints herself with her parents, her kingdom and the people of Corona. Her irrepressible spirit and natural curiosity about the world lead her to realize that there is so much more she needs to learn before she can accept her royal destiny. So, she boldly puts her coronation on hold to instead seek epic adventures, much to the dismay of the king who, after missing out on Rapunzel’s youth, must accept that his daughter is now an independent young woman. But when her long blonde hair suddenly grows back, she must accept its magical qualities and all that it represents. Accompanying Rapunzel on her journey are Eugene (FKA Flynn Rider); her loyal chameleon sidekick, Pascal; her no-nonsense, dutiful horse, Maximus; the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs; and newcomer Cassandra, a tough-as-nails lady-in-waiting who becomes Rapunzel’s confidante.
23) One Strange Rock
This series takes viewers on a mind-bending, thrilling journey exploring the fragility and wonder of planet Earth, one of the most peculiar, unique places in the entire universe, brought to life by the only people to have left it behind – the world’s most well known and leading astronauts. The show is hosted by Will Smith and is a very polished documentary series that will get you thinking.
22) Life Below Zero
This National Geographic series allows viewers to go deep into an Alaskan winter to meet six tough and resilient residents as they try to stay one step ahead of storms and man-eating beasts to make it through to spring. The closest neighbour to Sue Aikens is more than 300 miles away. Eric Salitan subsists solely on what he hunts and forages. Chip and Agnes Hailstone catch fish for currency in bartering for supplies, and Andy and Kate Bassich use their pack of sledge dogs for transportation.
21) Spider-Man – The Animated Series
There have been many Spider-Man animated series over the years, but the 1990’s series feels closest to the original comics. With 65 episodes, that include a wide variety of different villains and interwoven storylines throughout, it truly raised the bar for animated shows.
20) Boy Meets World
Boy Meets World is a classic American television sitcom that chronicles the coming of age events and everyday life-lessons of Cory Matthews, a Philadelphian who grows up from a young boy to a married man. And recently Disney brought the characters back for Girl Meets World, so if you fancy going back to where it all started, there are seven seasons available.
19) Andi Mack
One of the most important Disney Channel series ever made, with its modern storylines and great cast. Andi is contemplative and artistic and sheltered by overprotective parents. But on the eve of her 13th birthday, Andi’s free-spirited older sister Bex returns home with a revelation that changes everything and sends Andi on an uncharted course of self-discovery.
18) Hostile Planet
This six-part documentary draws attention to the most extraordinary — almost supernatural — accounts of animals that have adapted to the cruellest evolutionary curveballs. Easily one of my favourite series available on Disney+ right now, if you’re only going to watch on an animal documentary, make it this one.
17) X-Men: The Animated Series
Easily my personal favourite Marvel animated show, this series from the 1990’s features lots of different X-Men characters and will introduce you to the world of mutants better than any of the live-action movies. The series showcases how the X-Men fight for mutant rights against hostile Government agencies, whilst at the same time protecting mankind from mutant supremacist Magneto who seeks to destroy the human race in return for the atrocities committed against mutant-kind. For Marvel fans, this is a must-watch.
16) Ducktales
One of the most popular “Afternoon” animated shows from the 1980s, Ducktales tells the story of Scrooge McDuck, who finds his hands full at home when nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie move to Duckburg. Joined by their loyal pals Launchpad McQuack, Gyro Gearloose and Mrs. Beakley, the DuckTales gang never fails to deliver a wealth of adventure. This will no doubt be a very popular series for adults to go back to. And if you like this, you might also want to check out the newest version of the show, which is also really good.
15) Gravity Falls
This series is all about twin brother and sister Dipper and Mabel Pines, who end up on an unexpected adventure when they spend the summer helping their great uncle Stan run a tourist trap in the mysterious town of Gravity Falls, Oregon. This is one of the best modern Disney Channel animated series, that is great for adults and children alike.
14) Mickey Mouse Clubhouse
The story follows Mickey and Donald as they embark on a trip through a fairytale wonderland in search of Daisy’s cuckoo bird, with their journey bringing them face to face with such figures as Goofy Hatter, Queen Clarabelle, and Tweedle Chip and Tweedle Dale. This title is one of the most popular series on Disney+
13) Marvel’s Agent Carter
This series is set back in 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Captain America Steve Rogers. If you missed this series when it came out, this is a good way to fill out why Captain America made his decision in Avengers: Endgame.
12) High School Musical: The Musical – The Series
This drama series has become my non-so secret guilty pleasure on Disney+. A group of East High students countdown to the opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical.” Showmances blossom; friendships are tested while new ones are made; rivalries flare and lives are changed forever as these young people discover the transformative power that only a high school drama club can provide. This is one series not to skip. There is also a Holiday Special if you fancy something Christmassy.
11) Dinosaurs
Dinosaurs follows the life of a family of dinosaurs, living in a modern world. They have TV’s, fridges, microwaves, and every modern convenience.
10) Once Upon A Time
Emma Swan’s past disasters drag her into the small town of Maine. She is the long-lost daughter of a king, who must protect her town from the curse of an evil queen. There is also the spin-off series, Once Upon A Time In Wonderland is also now available on Disney+.
9) Jessie
This Disney Channel live-action series brings an idealistic teen from rural Texas embarks on the adventure of a lifetime when she decides to leave behind starry nights for big city lights. Thrilled to be on her own and determined not to be intimidated by New York City, she accepts a job as nanny for a high-profile couple with four kids. Helping to keep her moral compass in check are Bertram, the family’s butler, and Tony, the building’s 20-year-old doorman.
8) The Right Stuff
The incredible story of the early days of the U.S. space program, based on the iconic bestseller by Tom Wolfe. At the height of the Cold War, newly-formed NASA selects seven of the military’s best test pilots to become astronauts. Competing to be the first in space, these men achieve the extraordinary, inspiring the world to turn towards a new horizon of ambition and hope.
7) Hannah Montana
One of the biggest Disney Channel shows of all time and a perfect way to see Miley Cyrus growing up. The show tells the story of Miley Stewart, a typical teenager, but when the lights go down and the curtain goes up, she emerges as the glamorous and talented Hannah Montana. Having the “Best of Both Worlds” is a complicated proposition, and keeping her identity under wraps leads Miley and her friends into some hilarious capers as she tries to balance her normal life with her rock star persona.
6) Phineas & Ferb
Each day, two kindhearted suburban stepbrothers on summer vacation embark on some grand new project, which annoys their controlling sister, Candace, who tries to bust them. Meanwhile, their pet platypus plots against evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz. This is one of the best animation series from recent times and with the new Disney+ Original movie coming soon, this is a perfect opportunity to catch up on the adventures of Phineas and Ferb.
5) The Imagineering Story
Easily my favourite series I’ve watched on Disney+. This 6 part documentary series explores the past, present and future of Walt Disney Imagineering with noted filmmaker Leslie Iwerks. Ms. Iwerks comes from a family with deep Disney history — her grandfather was an early Disney animator and her father is a former Imagineer — and her previous work includes profiles of Pixar Animation Studios and visual effects house Industrial Light & Magic.
4) Star Wars: The Clone Wars
This series fills in the story between “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge Of The Sith”, where Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Mace Windu and other Jedi Knights lead the Grand Army of the Republic against the droid army of the Separatists. The 7th season of the show is a Disney+ exclusive plus there are over a hundred episodes available, making this one of the most binge-worthy shows on Disney+.
3) WandaVision
Marvel Studios “WandaVision,” is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. This series is, without doubt, one of the best series available on Disney+, its completely crazy and each episode ends on a cliffhanger, making you instantly wanting to watch the next episode. While the entire series isn’t yet available on Disney+ yet, new episodes will be dropping each Friday until early March.
2) The Simpsons
This classic animated sitcom is one of the most popular series on Disney+. It’s set in Springfield, the average American town, the show focuses on the antics and everyday adventures of the Simpson family; Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, as well as a virtual cast of thousands. Since the beginning, the series has been a pop culture icon, attracting hundreds of celebrities to guest star. The show has also made name for itself in its fearless satirical take on politics, media and American life in general. There are 31 seasons of this show, with almost 700 episodes.
1) Star Wars: The Mandalorian
This is, without doubt, one of the biggest draws for most people subscribing to Disney+ right now. The show is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. It follows the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic. Both seasons 1 and 2 are available for fans to enjoy.
