This past weekend, a number of titles were removed from Disney+ in many countries around the world, including “Spider-Man” films and FX shows, which Sony Pictures distributes, and Disney has licensed them to help fill out the FX and Marvel collections.

But today, Disney+ subscribers in Canada have had most of those titles returned today, including:

  • Spider-Man
  • Spider-Man 2
  • Spider-Man 3
  • The Amazing Spider-Man
  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2
  • The Spectacular Spider-Man
  • Spider-Man (2003 Animated-Series)
  • Rescue Me
  • Damages
  • For Life

However, it should be noted that not every Sony title has been returned to Disney+, though this could change.

This hopefully opens the door for these titles to once again return to Disney+ in other countries in the future.

One of the issues with streaming services is that, ultimately, no content is guaranteed to stay available indefinitely, and licensed content is temporary since these deals are typically only for a limited time and expire.

Unfortunately, unlike most streaming services, Disney+ doesn’t inform subscribers in advance when a title is about to expire and leave.
