“NCIS: Hawaii” Cancelled After Three Seasons
Just ahead of the release of the season three finale, CBS has announced that the “NCIS” spinoff series, “NCIS: Hawaii”, is coming to a close and won’t be returning for a fourth season.
The series is set on the seductive shores of Hawai’i, where the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor takes command. She and her team balance duty to family and country, investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security, and the mysteries of the island itself. This NCIS: Hawai’i team is a skilled mix of mainland transplants who’ve relocated to the tranquillity of the Pacific and wizened locals who know their mahalo from kapu.
“NCIS: Hawaii” stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson and special guest star LL COOL J. Matt Bosack, Jan Nash and Christopher Silber serve as executive producers. “NCIS: Hawaii” is produced by CBS Studios.
Some of the cast of “NCIS: Hawaii” have been taking to social media to react to the news of the cancellation:
Vanessa Lachey shared this on her Instagram Story.
“Gutted, confused, blindsided, Grateful, confident, beloved fans. Processing this news and still being present with my family. I love you all! Maholo Nui Loa.”
Tori Anderson, who played FBI agent Kate Whistler, said:
“Having a really hard time processing this one. Thank you to our incredible crew who made every single day feel like I was living a dream. I want to say thank you to all the fans. My heart breaks for you as well. This is a huge loss for representation. Love you all so much.”
Jason Antoon, who played cyber intelligence specialist Ernie also posted:
“This business is brutal and makes no sense. But we had soooo much fun. Love you all and mahalo.”
This is the latest cancellation to be announced by CBS ahead of the new Fall season, as “So Help Me Todd” and “CSI: Vegas” will also not be returning for new seasons.
The third season of “NCIS: Hawaii” is currently being released weekly, exclusively on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The previous two seasons are also available on Disney+ in the UK and Ireland.
