Disney+ & Hulu Increasing Prices For A Fourth Year In A Row

Much like death and taxes, price rises for streaming services seem inevitable, as it’s that time of the year again when Disney once again increases the price of its streaming services, Disney+, Hulu and ESPN in the United States.

It was likely we were going to get a price rise, as last month, Disney confirmed ESPN Unlimited would be increasing in price, impacting the Disney Streaming Bundle with Hulu and Disney+.

This marks the fourth year in a row with an annual price rise for Disney+, with prices increasing for Premium and Basic tiers.

Here’s a look at the new prices:

  • Disney+ (With Ads) will increase by 50 cents a month to $12.49.
  • Hulu (With Ads) will also increase by 50 cents a month to $12.49,
  • The Disney+/Hulu (With Ads) bundle will remain at $12.99 a month.
  • Disney+ Premium (No Ads) will increase by $2.50 a month from $18.99 to $21.49 a month, marking a 13% increase.  An annual subscription will also be increasing to $214.99 a year.
  • Hulu Premium without ads will be priced the same.
  • The Disney+/Hulu Premium bundle will be increasing by $2, from $19.99 to $21.99 a month,
  • The Disney+/Hulu/ESPN Select bundle with ads will also be increasing by $2 to $21.99 a month
  • The Disney+/Hulu/ESPN Select bundle without ads will also be increasing by $3 to $32.99 a month
  • The Disney+/Hulu/ESPN Unlimited bundle with ads will stay at $35.99 a month
  • The Disney+/Hulu/ESPN Unlimited bundle without ads will be priced at $44.99 a month
  • Hulu+Live TV (with ads) will also increase by $10 to $99.99 a month
  • Hulu+Live TV Premium will also increase $10 a month to $109.99.

The pricing of the Disney+ and Hulu bundle is an instant must-do, as if you have either Hulu or Disney+ with ads or Premium on its own, it’s only 50 cents a month more to get both, which is exactly what they want you to do, since you’ll be less likely to churn.

These new prices are effective for new customers starting today (September 23rd 2026), with existing customers getting the price increase to kick in on their next bill.

The good news is that the ad-supported bundle hasn’t gone up in price, but this is also being done specifically to encourage more people to jump onto this tier, as that’s where they make more money from advertising.  Essentially, making the ad-free tiers much more expensive on purpose.

ESPN Unlimited bundle subscribers will keep the same price for their package, since that only launched last year and they are still trying to get people to move over to it.

If you’re unhappy with the price increase, you can switch to a cheaper ad-supported bundle.  It’s also worth checking if your mobile phone or cable provider, or bank, includes access to Disney+ as part of a deal.   Alternatively, just rotate in and out of the service on a monthly basis for when you want to watch a few original exclusive shows.

Unfortunately, annual price rises are the norm for all streaming services, with Apple, Netflix and others recently putting up their prices.
