ESPN Unlimited & ESPN Select To Increase Prices
It’s that time of the year again, as Disney has announced it will be increasing the price of its ESPN subscription price, ready for the new Fall season.
The new prices will take effect on September 17th 2026, and will see increases to both ESPN Unlimited and ESPN Select tiers. This price rise will impact both the monthly and annual subscription plans.
The ESPN Unlimited offering will be going up $2 a month, from $29.99 a month to $31.99 a month. While the annual price will go up $20 a year, from $299.99 to $319.99 a year.
Included in that price are all live sports found on the ESPN and ESPN2 linear networks; the stand-alone sports package includes ESPNU, ESPNews, ESPN Deportes, SECN, SECN+, ACCN, and ACCNX, plus thousands of additional live sporting events per year. In addition to the NFL Network and CW Sports.
While ESPN Select (formerly known as ESPN+), will also get a price increase of a dollar a month, going from $12.99 to $13.99. The annual subscription will go up by $10 a year, from $129.99 to $139.99.
Those subscribers who still have the Bundle of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN Select will also get a price rise of $3 a month, from $20 to $22 monthly for the ad-supported tier, while the ad-free version will go from $30 to $33.
While Disney+ Legacy Bundle subscribers, which includes Disney+ without Ads, Hulu with Ads and ESPN Select, will also be increasing to $27.99, though this bundle is only available to existing subscribers.
ESPN Unlimited launched last summer and, like most streaming services that are brand new, comes with a heavily discounted launch offer, which unfortunately was only available for a limited time.
Roger’s Take: A bit like Christmas, the annual price hike is here, and I’m not surprised that the price continues to just go up. Though Disney will need to be careful with how much it continues to raise its prices. The addition of new content like the NFL Network and CW Sports will no doubt be a reason why this price rise will be justified by the company, but no doubt fans won’t be happy.
I also expect that the annual Disney+ price hike will be coming, though they could also tie it to the merger between Disney+ and Hulu to make it look less expensive, but I suspect it’ll still go up a buck or two.
