20th Television Developing New Series “Dive”

20th Television is developing a brand new series with Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia’s Seven Bucks, called “Dive”, which is set in New Orleans, a city defined by its relationship to water.

“Dive” will follow an elite team of police divers and investigators who solve crimes that begin where the surface ends.

According to Deadline, it will be created by Steven Kane, who previously worked on “Jack Ryan” and “Halo”, along with “NCIS” and “Without A Trace”.    Also executive producing will be Kristina Sorensen and the team at Seven Bucks, which is behind “Young Rock” and “Ballers”.

This new project is in early development, so it hasn’t reached a point where casting has been made, production scheduled or release planned.  If the show does get the go-ahead, it’ll be released on ABC, along with Hulu/Disney+.

During a recent TV Event in Europe, he told ABC commissioners: “If this is successful, it could be franchised.” This will no doubt be of interest to Disney, as many of its popular shows like “The Rookie”, “9-1-1” and “Grey’s Anatomy” have had spin-offs, though it’s still important that this project gets established first.
