Disney has announced that the 20th Century Studios animated film “Ron’s Gone Wrong” is coming to Disney+ in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland on Wednesday 15th December 2021.  In addition to streaming on Disney+, the movie will be available to stream on HBO Max in the US on the same day.

Barney is a socially awkward schoolboy who receives a robot named Ron — a walking, talking, digitally connected device that’s supposed to be his best friend. Barney is excited to finally have his own robot — until his new toy starts to hilariously malfunction, drawing the attention of a shady executive who wants to protect his company’s stock price at all costs.

We should expect the film to be also released around the same time in other countries like Canada and Australia.

Disney has also recently adjusted a previous deal with WarnerMedia to share some of its 20th Century Studios titles until the end of 2022. This is why this film will be heading to Disney+ in the US much earlier than expected.

The movie is directed by Sarah Smith and Jean-Philippe Vine and co-directed by Octavio E. Rodriguez. Julie Lockhart and Lara Breay produce with executive producers Sarah Smith, Peter Baynham, and Elisabeth Murdoch. The movie is written by Sarah Smith and Peter Baynham with music by Henry Jackman.

The movie stars Jack Dylan Grazer as Barney Pudowski, Zach Galifianakis as Ron, Olivia Colman as Donka Pudowski, Ed Helms as Graham Pudowski, Justice Smith as Marc Wydell Rob Delaney as Andrew Morris, Kylie Cantrall as Savannah Meades, Marcus Scribner as Alex, Ricardo Hurtado as Rich, and Thomas Barbusca as Jayden.

The movie will also be available on Blu-ray and at all digital stores such as Apple TV, Prime Video and Vudu with exclusive bonus features.

Are you looking forward to watching “Ron’s Gone Wrong” on Disney+ in December?
