Two New “Family Guy” Halloween & Holiday Specials Coming Soon To Hulu & Disney+

After the success of last year’s holiday specials for the hit adult-animated comedy series, “Family Guy”, Disney has announced at this weekend’s San Diego Comic Con, that two more specials will be coming to Hulu and Disney+ later this year for the holidays.

The reveal was made during a panel at the event by executive producer and showrunner Rich Appel, confirming that the Halloween special will also guest star Kieran Culkin as the devil.

In the Halloween special, “Happy Hell-o-ween,” Brian and Stewie find themselves in Hell – not an annoying day, the actual underworld – paying for 24 seasons’ worth of bad behavior. When they manage to annoy even the Devil himself, they end up in charge.

Alex Borstein, Arif Zahir, Jennifer Tilly and co-executive producer & supervising director Peter Shin, were also in attendance at the panel.

Details were also revealed for the holiday special, called “The Peter Clause,” where it’s Christmas in Quahog, and Peter and the guys compete to become the town’s official Santa. Peter loses, and he can either process his disappointment in a mature manner, or give fans a memorable episode of “Family Guy.” Thankfully, he chooses option number two.

These holiday specials continue the trend of Disney making additional episodes for many of its popular adult-animated shows, such as “The Simpsons”, for its own streaming platforms.

Both of these specials will stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ for bundled subscribers in the United States and on Disney+ internationally in most markets. It was also confirmed that the 25th season of “Family Guy” would return in 2027, where it will premiere on the FOX channel, before becoming available the next day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. The new season will also stream on Disney+ internationally. The previous seasons are also available to stream now on those platforms.
