Michael Giacchino Confirms He’s Directing Marvel’s “Werewolf By Night” Disney+ Special
One of the worst kept secrets at Marvel Studios, is that they’ve filmed a Halloween live-action special, “Werewolf By Night” for Disney+, which stars Gael Garcia Bernal as the werewolf, along with Laura Donnelly.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Michael Giacchino will be directing the special and during an interview to promote Lightyear with ComicBook.com, he confirmed he has directed the Disney+ special.
“I’ve been having a blast. It’s an incredibly challenging process. I love it. Everyday, I’ve been having fun working on it and we’re int he middle of it. Hopefully, very soon we’ll share a lot more about it. Yeah. There’s not much I can’t say other than I’m having a good time and I am working on something that I love. So, that’s a win-win right there.”
Michael Giacchino is an Oscar-winning composer who has worked with Disney on “Up”, “Ratatouille”, “Coco”, “Lost”, “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”, “Zootopia”, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”, and the most recent “Spider-Man” films. He will also compose the upcoming Pixar film, “Lightyear” and Marvel’s “Thor: Love & Thunder”.
Very little is known about the upcoming Marvel Halloween special, such as what the plot will be or what characters Gael or Laura are playing. Especially as “Werewolf By Night” has been several different characters in the comic book, including Jack Russell and Jake Gomez.
Marvel hasn’t officially announced any details on the upcoming “Werewolf By Night” and hopefully more details will be revealed soon.
