As part of Disney+ Day, Marvel Studios announced a brand new animated series that will be coming to Disney+.

Marvel Zombies: an animated series from Marvel Studios that reimagines the Marvel Universe as a new generation of heroes battle against an ever-spreading zombie scourge.

Marvel’s Zombies has been a popular comic book series for years, and most recently, in an episode of “What If”, we got to see what would happen if the Marvel heroes had become Zombies. We don’t yet know if this new series is going to be a continuation of that episode, or if they will start from scratch and tell the story about how the virus took hold of people.

Very little information was revealed about this series, such as when it might arrive on Disney+.

Executive producer Bryan Andrews is directing this new animated series.

Hopefully it's not a sanitised adaptation of the Marvel Zombies comics this time. The Zombies episode of What If? being family-friendly because the rest of that show is, is one thing but a seperate Marvel Zombies TV show should stay true to the comics. The Marvel comic book version included gore so I don't see why the TV show can't.
