Mark Ruffalo Teases Passing The Hulk Banner To She-Hulk’s Tatiana Maslany
Later this year, the Marvel Studios series “She-Hulk” will be coming to Disney+ and stars Tatiana Maslany as She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters, who is a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases and gains her superpowers after a blood transfusion with her cousin Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, who will be played by a returning, Mark Ruffalo. Along with Tim Roth returning as Emil Blonsky/Abomination. Jameela Jamil is also starring in the new Disney+ series as Titania, plus Renee Elise Goldsberry and Ginger Gonzaga.
During a red carpet event for Netflix’s “The Adam Project”, Access Hollywood spoke with Mark Ruffalo, who shared a small update on the upcoming Disney+ series, teasing a different side of the Hulk.
“Tatiana Maslany is freaking legendary as the She-Hulk. I’m passing the ‘banner’ onto her. Yeah, there’s some really good, funny, cool, long, long scenes between the Professor and her. We’ve never really seen the Hulk interact with people the way he does in that show. It will be really interesting.”

We’ve already seen a glimpse of Professor Hulk and She-Hulk interacting during a sneak peek trailer released during last year’s Disney+ Day.
One of the advantages a Disney+ series has compared to a traditional Marvel movie, is extra time to tell stories that expand out characters, and it looks like the “She-Hulk” series is going to allow us to see more of the Hulk.
It’s also interesting how Mark refers to passing the “banner” to Tatiana Maslany, as a new generation of the Hulk, similar to how Hawkeye passed the torch to Kate Bishop, but doesn’t necessarily mean the original Avengers are leaving the MCU.
No exact release date for “She-Hulk” has been announced yet, and it’s unlikely we will know that until the next series, “Moon Knight” and possibly “Ms Marvel”, which is coming to Disney+ in the summer, are out.
Are you looking forward to “She-Hulk”?
