It has been announced that Hulu won’t be renewing the original series, High Fidelity, for a second season.  The show was originally announced as a Disney+ Original, before being moved to Hulu, due to it having more mature themes.

High Fidelity, was a reimagining of Nick Hornby’s 1995 novel, High Fidelity centres on Rob, who was played by Zoë Kravitz, who also serves as an executive producer on the show.  Rob is a female record store owner who revisits past relationships through music and pop culture.

The renewal had been going through “lengthy negotiations” but ultimately they came to the decision to pass.  The show’s cast and crew were notified on Wednesday about the cancellation.   There are talks about the show possibly being moved to another network or platform.

The whole first season of High Fidelity is available to stream on Hulu now.
