Disney announced everything coming to Hulu in August 2024, including the return of many Hulu Originals, including the return of “Only Murders In The Building”, “Dance Moms”, and “Solar Opposites”.  Plus, there will also be new episodes of “Futurama” each week, in addition to new shows from ABC & FOX.

Many of these titles will also be available on Hulu On Disney+ in the United States; however, due to licensing issues, not every new release may be available through the Hulu hub on Disney+.

Here are some of the major new releases of August:

Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes

Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise with this action-adventure spectacle from 20th Century Studios. Set several generations in the future following Caesar’s reign, apes are living harmoniously as the dominant species — and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.

This new movie will arrive on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on August 2nd 2024

The Supremes At Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat

The movie follows lifelong best friends Odette (Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor), Barbara Jean (Sanaa Lathan), and Clarice (Uzo Aduba) known as “The Supremes”, who share the unbreakable bonds of sisterhood from decades of weathering life’s storms. Through the joys and sorrows of life, marriage and children, happiness and blues, love and loss, new shades of heartbreak and illness threaten to stir up the past when the trio sees their bond put to the test as they face their most challenging times yet.

This new Searchlight Pictures movie will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on Friday 23rd August 2024.

Only Murders In The Building – Season 4

From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman comes a comedic murder-mystery series for the ages. “Only Murders in the Building” follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.

Solar Opposites – Season 5

On season 5 of Solar Opposites, now that alien mission partners Terry and Korvo are married, the whole Solar Opposites team are focused on family values.

This new series will debut on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on August 12th 2024

Dance Moms – A New Era

Dance Moms: A New Era is a reboot of the ever so popular Dance Moms. This time, with a new coach, new dancers and new mama drama. Introducing beloved dance coach, Glo Hampton, who wants to take her students and prestigious dance school Studio Bleu to the next level – competing nationally every week. But the road to glory won’t be an easy one. Coach Glo must juggle her tiny but mighty dancers, their scheming moms, and ensuing meltdowns, all while ruling with a tender but tough iron fist. Will Glo and her dance team persevere amidst the dramatics?

This new series will debut on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on Wednesday 7th August 2024

OceanXplorers

The National Geographic series takes audiences aboard the OceanXplorer, OceanX’s state-of-the-art scientific research and exploration vessel, to investigate the farthest frontiers of the world’s oceans, 80% of which are entirely unknown. Armed with advanced technology, a hand-picked team of intrepid explorers and scientists, National Geographic Explorers and other ocean experts embark on a global odyssey to solve some of the ocean’s greatest mysteries through the lives of its animals and their ecosystems. The ship sets sail on a grand adventure – traveling to the depths of the Atlantic in the Azores, diving into the shallows of the Bahamas and warm waters of the Caribbean before embarking north to the frigid arctic shores of Svalbard, Norway. OCEANXPLORERS provides an immersive look at an underwater world of wonder with incredible discoveries that push the boundaries of exploration and our understanding of the ocean like never before.

“OceanXplorers” will be released on Hulu and Disney+ on August 19th 2024.
