“Good American Family” Finale Delivers Fantastic Viewership Numbers For Disney+ & Hulu
Last week, Disney released the season finale of the new limited-series, “Good American Family” on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ around the world.
Told from multiple points of view, as a means to explore issues of perspective, bias, and trauma, this compelling drama is inspired by the disturbing stories surrounding a Midwestern couple who adopts a girl with a rare form of dwarfism. But as they begin to raise her alongside their three biological children, mystery emerges around her age and background, and they slowly start to suspect she may not be who she says she is. As they defend their family from the daughter they’ve grown to believe is a threat, she fights her own battle to confront her past and what her future holds, in a showdown that ultimately plays out in the tabloids and the courtroom.
Disney has announced that the season finale pulled in 6.3 million views within its first six days of streaming. Making it Hulu’s third-most-watched finale of all time and the biggest finale of 2025 so far across both Hulu and Disney+.
“Good American Family” stars Ellen Pompeo, Mark Duplass and Imogen Faith Reid. Dulé Hill, Christina Hendricks, Sarayu Blue and Jenny O’Hara are recurring guest stars.

Roger’s Take: I wasn’t aware of the true story behind “Good American Family” until I saw the show, and it certainly got its claws into my wife and me. It’s a fantastic series that got us questioning what really happened, especially as the show continued, with two different versions of the same story being told. When that season finale dropped, we were straight onto Disney+ that evening to find out what happened, and much like “Paradise”, it highlights why 20th Television is such an important asset for Disney+ and Hulu.
