Eva Longoria To Star In “Only Murders In The Building”
Production on the fourth season of the hit Hulu/Star Original series, “Only Murders In The Building,” is starting to ramp up as more casting details have been revealed for the award-winning show.
In the first season, three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez), who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building, which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.
In the most recent season, investigating a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show, which saw Hollywood actor star Ben Glenroy killed in the final moments. In the season finale, Sazz, who is Charles’s stunt double and is played by Jane Lynch, is killed and will be the main focus of the team’s investigation in the fourth season.
While we know very little about the upcoming fourth season, it was revealed by Disney Television Group President Craig Erwich at the Television Critics Association that the fourth season will see the three characters heading to Los Angeles before returning to the Arconia in New York to find out who Sazz’s killer was.
Following on from the news that Meryl Streep would be returning for the fourth season and that Molly Shannon would be joining the cast as a high-powered Los Angeles businesswoman who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in New York.
Deadline has revealed that Eva Longoria has joined the cast of the upcoming season in a regular recurring role. No details on what character she will be playing have been revealed, but her character becomes integral to the twists and turns of this season’s investigation
Eva Longoria has previously starred in the hit series, “Desperate Housewives” and most recently directed the smash-hit Disney+ film, “Flamin’ Hot”.
“Only Murders in the Building” hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (“Grace & Frankie,” “Looking”). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television.
The first three seasons of “Only Murders In The Building” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States. The show is also available internationally on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ around the world.
