Disney+ is set to become a major international streaming service and a new series called, Disney’s World Of English, has recently been revealed by the DisInsider.

The series will be part of Disney’s English language learning shows and is aimed at children aged up to 7.  It will use Disney’s characters and stories to naturally learn English, through music, games, dance, arts and more.

Currently they are casting for a “Ringmaster” character called “Stephen”, who will be between 10 and 14.  The character will be a jokester and a magician.

Production is due to begin in October and run through to November.  No official details have yet been revealed on when it will be released.  Though it would make sense for it to be ready around the time of the main Western European launch in 2020, or later for its Asian launch.

It will be produced by Mark Benjamin and Daniel Hank, who have recently produced Fisher Price’s family video shorts).  Also joining them will be Breaking Amish producer Barry Shapiro.  It will be director will be Jamie Lustberg, who previously worked on the Fisher Price Family videos.

Disney’s World of English has been around since the 1970’s and encourages children to learn English in a natural way through a substantial interconnected program of DVDs, CDs, picture books, talk along flash cards, songs, toys, and activities.  The brand is more known in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong/Macau, and South Korea.
