Disney Hosts “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord” Finale Screening On Star Wars Day
To celebrate Star Wars Day, Disney hosted a special screening event in Burbank for the final two episodes of the animated series, “Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord” on the Main Theatre on the Walt Disney Studios lot.
Set after the events of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” this pulpy adventure finds Maul plotting to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. There, he crosses paths with a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan who could be the apprentice he is seeking to aid him in his relentless pursuit for revenge.
In attendance were Sam Witwer, Gideon Adlon, Dennis Haysbert, Chris Diamantopoulos, Vanessa Marshall, David W. Collins, Charlie Bushnell, A.J. Lo Cascio, Scott Whyte, and Pamela Adlon, who were joined by Lucasfilm president, chief creative officer, and series creator Dave Filoni, supervising director/executive producer Brad Rau, and executive producers Carrie Beck, Athena Yvette Portillo, Matt Michnovetz, and Josh Rimes, and guests Dee Bradley Baker and Eman Esfandi. And the Dark Lord himself, Darth Vader, made an appearance at the end of the screening, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
