“Whalefall” Teaser Trailer Released

Disney has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming original movie, “Whalefall”, which will be coming to cinemas, Hulu and Disney+ later this year

The movie tells the story of what happens following the death of his father (Josh Brolin), Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams) goes diving off the central Coast of California in search of his remains, but is swallowed by a massive sperm whale. While trapped inside its belly with only one hour of oxygen left, Jay comes to realise that the hard-earned lessons his father imparted may be the key to his escape.

The film is based on the popular best selling book of the same name by Daniel Kraus, who also wrote the adaptation for the screen, with the film’s director, Brian Duffield. “Whalefall” has been executive produced by Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Jeb Brody and Allan Mandelbaum.

20th Century Studios’ new film, “Whalefall”, will be coming to cinemas on October 16th, 2026, and it will be coming to Disney+ and Hulu a few months later, likely in early January 2027.
