Disney has announced that the National Geographic documentary, “Dino Death Match”, will be coming to Disney+ in the United States on Friday, 3rd March 2023.

In 2006, a huge fossil was discovered — so big that it had to be broken up for transportation. It contained two near-complete dinosaurs, locked in battle — a 10-ton plant-eating triceratops and another formidable, unknown predator, one-tenth the size of the triceratops but deadly enough to apparently fell the armored giant. Its discovery reopens a cold case — and could change what we thought we knew about the prehistoric world.

A fossil known as the ‘Duelling Dinosaurs’ depicts predator and prey as they died in combat. A dramatic fossil, but also one that is central to a controversial debate; does it provide evidence proving the existence of a separate tyrannosaur species? It could reveal a pygmy tyrant – the Nanotyrannus. As the evidence for and against this predator is reviewed, it reveals a dinosaur-like no other, brought to life in stunning CGI.

“Dino Death Match” was previously released on the National Geographic channel in 2015 and is already available on Disney+ in many countries around the world.
