Disney has a long history of working with actors on a repetitive basis. They work together and form bonds that lead to these actors later being recognized as Disney legends. MARY POPPINS RETURNS

A few decades after her original visit, Mary Poppins, the magical nanny, returns to help the Banks siblings and Michael’s children through a difficult time in their lives. Lansbury makes a cameo at the end of the film as the balloon lady. This is a reference to the fact Disney had originally asked her to be in the original “Mary Poppins” before casting Julie Andrews.

MR. POPPER’S PENGUINS

The life of a businessman begins to change after he inherits six penguins, and as he transforms his apartment into a winter wonderland, his professional side starts to unravel. Lansbury stars as an elderly restaurant owner looking to sell her restaurant and Carrey’s version of Popper wants to buy it.

BEDKNOBS AND BROOMSTICKS

An apprentice witch, three kids and a cynical magician conman search for the missing component to a magic spell to be used in the defense of Britain in World War II. While not as popular as “Mary Poppins,” this film follows the same format of mixing crazy elements with the real world. Lansbury stars as the apprentice witch.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

A prince cursed to spend his days as a hideous monster sets out to regain his humanity by earning a young woman’s love. Lansbury voices Mrs. Potts and sings the iconic song, also titled “Beauty and the Beast.”
