Disney has announced that the animated Marvel film, “Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher”, is going to be released on Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand on Friday, 24th February 2023.

When The Punisher takes out a black market weapons dealer with stolen S.H.I.E.L.D. tech, he inadvertently stumbles upon a much larger terror plot under investigation by Black Widow, agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Detained by the clandestine law enforcement organization, Nick Fury offers the Punisher his freedom in exchange for one mission; To work with Black Widow and stop the terrorist group known as Leviathan.

Made by Sony Pictures Entertainment (Japan) Inc. and Madhouse Inc. (Paprika, Millennium Actress), Avengers Confidential: Black Widow & Punisher is directed by Kenichi Shimizu, with a story by Marjorie Liu and screenplay by Mitsutaka Hirota. The film features the voices of Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) as Black Widow and Brian Bloom (Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3) as The Punisher.

This animated film was initially released in 2014, and this is the latest addition to Disney+ from the Sony library, which Disney has licensed.
