Jennifer Walters gets invited to be a bridesmaid in an old family friend’s wedding in the latest episode of the Marvel and Disney+ Original Series, “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.” It’s the one time Jen wants to show off She-Hulk and, of course, the bridge wants “Just Jen.” We get the usual mid-season wedding tropes: her having to hand off her work to her “rival,” her friend building her own friendship, and attempted relationship, with the rival, the star being mistreated by the bride, a fight and the bride deciding she really is happy She-Hulk came to her wedding.

This is a medium episode. It’s honestly better than the last episode with the trademark trial with Titania. I’m happy with how Titania is involved in this episode, even if it is a little cliché. Titania being invited to the wedding as a plus-one is kind of lame, but I enjoy the fight between Jen and Titania leading to She-Hulk coming out and just beating Titania in every way. It’s predictable, but still fun. Plus, we get to see those differing metabolisms between Jen and She-Hulk again as Jen is very drunk but as soon as she transitions to She-Hulk, she’s now sober. That was enjoyable.

My favorite part of this episode, though, was the introduction of one of the most obscure Marvel characters in a hilarious way. Mr. Immortal was fantastic. This guy can’t die, so when he’s ready to exit a marriage, he just “kills” himself. That way the widowed can move on with their lives. It’s a terrible thing for an immortal to do, but it’s presented in such a hilarious way. Plus, you can’t help but root against him here. You want all of those who he’s wronged to win. In the end, it works out in a wonderful way. Plus, we get to see him throw himself out a window and regenerate which helps open up the “much larger world” that Nick Fury promised us way back at the end of the first “Iron Man” film.

I can’t wait to see what happens going forward with this series. I do want to see more in the courtroom. I know they aren’t all going to knock it out of the park, but it’s a legal drama, we should see more of the courtroom aspect. I’m also glad to get to see more of the legal aspects like the depositions with Mr. Immortal and his many ex-spouses. That’s part of the legal process and we need to see it. I’m also excited for more super cameos, but I’m glad they have let those breathe a little bit. It was needed in the premiere. It will be needed in the finale. And I can’t wait to see Daredevil. But we were closing in too much on a bad scenario after three big cameos in the first four episodes. Reining it in was the right call. The show has room to grow and I’m excited to see where it goes.
