Disney’s Searchlight Pictures is developing a new film called “In The Blink Of An Eye”, which is going to be directed by Oscar winner, Andrew Stanton, who has previously directed Pixar’s “Wall-E”, “Finding Nemo,” “Finding Dory” and “John Carter.”

“In The Blink Of An Eye”, is a Sci-Fi adventure that follows three storylines, spanning thousands of years, intersect and reflect on hope, connection and the circle of life.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Kate McKinnon (Ghostbusters) is going to be starring in the upcoming film and THR has revealed that Rashida Jones has joined the cast. She has previously starred in “On The Rocks”, “Parks and Recreation” and “The Office”.

Rashida Jones is going to be playing an anthropology professor who is taking care of her dying mother.

The film has been written by Colby Day, and he will also be an executive producer on the film. Jared Ian Goldman is also a producer on the project, with SVP Production Taylor Friedman and Creative Executive Apolline Berty overseeing for Searchlight Pictures.

Production is set to begin next week in Vancouver, Canada.
