Disney’s Searchlight Pictures is developing a new Sci-Fi Drama film called ‘In the Blink of an Eye’, which is going to be directed by Andrew Stanton, who has previously directed the Pixar films, “WALL-E” and “Finding Nemo”, in addition to the big epic “John Carter”. He has also directed episodes of many other shows, including “For All Mankind”, “Legion”, and “Stranger Things”.

This Sci-Fi film will explore the entire history of the world and tackle the nature of life, love, hope and connection, doing so by focusing on three intersecting storylines.

According to THR, the film has been written by Colby Day, who is also going to be an executive producer. The original screenplay by Colby Day was on the 2017 Black List.

It’s going to be produced by Jared Ian Goldman, who has previously produced “Russian Doll” and “Ingrid Goes West”. Senior vp production Taylor Friedman and creative executive Apolline Berty are overseeing for Searchlight, reporting to heads of production and development Katie Goodson-Thomas and DanTram Nguyen.

With this film being created by Searchlight Pictures, it’s unclear how big the budget for this Sci-Fi film will be.
