Today, Disney has announced that the third season of the “NCIS” spinoff series, “NCIS: Hawaii”, will be released exclusively on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with the first episode being available from today, with a new episode being released each Wednesday.

The world’s most successful television series continues on the seductive shores of Hawai’i as the first female Special Agent in Charge of NCIS Pearl Harbor takes command. She and her team balance duty to family and country, investigating high-stakes crimes involving military personnel, national security, and the mysteries of the island itself. This NCIS: Hawai’i team is a skilled mix of mainland transplants who’ve relocated to the tranquillity of the Pacific and wizened locals who know their mahalo from kapu.

The new season kicks off with a special cross-over with the original “NCIS” show, which is also returning for the 21st season and is also available weekly on Disney+ alongside the Hawaiian version.

In the episode released today called  “Prisoners’ Dilemma”, – Tennant’s team, along with NCIS agents Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Jessica Knight (Katrina Law), track The Raven’s whereabouts to the island of Oahu and learn about his plans to attack RIMPAC (The Rim of the Pacific Exercises), the world’s largest international maritime warfare exercise.

“HCIS: Hawaii”  stars Vanessa Lachey, Alex Tarrant, Noah Mills, Yasmine Al-Bustami, Jason Antoon, Tori Anderson and special guest star LL COOL J. Matt Bosack, Jan Nash and Christopher Silber serve as executive producers.

While the series is created by CBS Studios, which is part of Paramount, due to a licensing deal made for the FOX linear channel, Disney has the rights to distribute the series.

As with many other long-running shows, due to the Hollywood actors and writers’ strikes of last summer, the latest season will be much shorter than usual.

The previous two seasons of “NCIS: Hawaii” are also available to stream now on Disney+.
