Marvel’s “What If?” Season 3 To Have A New Head Writer
During the Marvel Studios animation panel at the San Diego Comic-Con, it was confirmed that the second season of “What If?” will be coming to Disney+ in early 2023 and also that the series has been renewed for a third season.
“What If…?” flips the script on the MCU, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways. Marvel Studios’ first animated series focuses on different heroes from the MCU, featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles.
For the first season, along with the upcoming second season, AC Bradley is the head writer and this week, she has recently confirmed on Twitter that Season 2 will be her last working on the series.
This is my final project @MarvelStudios
!! It’s been an adventure. All my ❤️ to our brilliant cast & crew! Can’t wait for the world to see our work!#WhatIf #whatifseason2 #SDCC
No details have yet been announced on who will be replacing her on the upcoming third season, nor on why she is leaving the role. Some of the episodes from the first season were originally delayed and pushed back into the second season. Also, often with animated shows, seasons are made in bulk and then split up, so it could just be a case of AC Bradley has decided to move onto another project.
The first season of “What If..?” is available to stream now on Disney+.
