Following the news that production on the upcoming Marvel Studios film “Blade” has been paused to find a new director, Disney has revealed that it has updated its theatrical release schedule.

“Blade” has been delayed almost a year, moving from November 3rd 2023, to September 6th 2024.  This has caused a domino effect with other Marvel films shuffling.

Recently it was announced that “Deadpool 3” was going to be released on September 6th 2024, but now that’ll be out a couple of months later, on November 8th 2024.

This has also seen some films in the sixth phase pushed back, as that November date was originally going to be the new “Fantastic Four” film.  This film will now be released on February 14th 2025.

And there is also a big delay for the second upcoming Avengers film, which is bumped from November 7th 2025, to May 1st 2026.

These delays are unfortunate, but it does give all of these projects a little longer to be polished.

What do you think of these delays?
