More casting news on the upcoming Disney+ Original movie “Crater” has been revealed by Deadline, who are reporting that Scott Mescudi, who is better known by his stage name of Kid Cudi, has joined the film.

“Crater” is a coming-of-age story in the vein of Stand By Me, set on a moon colony. After his father’s death, a boy growing up on a lunar mining colony takes a trip to explore a mysterious crater, along with his four best friends, prior to being permanently relocated to another planet.

Scott Mescudi has previously starred in “Don’t Look Up”, “Bill & Ted Face the Music”, “One Tree Hill”, “The Cleveland Show”, “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, and “Westworld”.

He will be joining Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Billy Barratt, Orson Hong, Thomas Boyce and Mckenna Grace, who will also be starring in the film.

In “Crater”, Scott Mescudi will be playing Isaiah Russell-Bailey’s father.

“Crater” will be directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez, and filming is due to be this spring. Shawn Levy and Dan Levine will be producing “Crater” through their 21 Laps Entertainment banner.
