20th Television Developing New Series “Con Law”
20th Television is developing a brand-new legal drama series for ABC called “Con Law”, which will be created by Joey Falco, who will be the writer and executive producer on the project.
The new series will tell the story of a brilliant, high-powered corporate attorney who is wrongfully convicted of murdering her husband, losing everything — her freedom, her career, her daughter. Exonerated six years later, she joins a scrappy Brooklyn defence firm and uses the ruthless skills that once protected billion-dollar corporations to fight for others vulnerable to being screwed over by the system — all while searching for the truth behind the crime that ruined her life.
Joey has previously worked on the hit series, “Sleepy Hollow”, “Charmed” and “Treadstone”. He has also worked with ABC on the pilot “Judgment”, along with other projects at Netflix, New Regency and Amazon.
According to Deadline, the series will also be executive produced by Jordan Cerf from Linden Productions, who has previously worked on “Puzzled”.
As with any project in early development, this show could go through some creative changes, and it might be a while until we know who might star in it or when it will arrive on ABC/Hulu/Disney+.
