“The Good Doctor” is set to return for its seventh and final season in February and continues the story of Dr. Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, who has worked tirelessly to prove to his colleagues that his extraordinary medical gifts will save lives. Meanwhile, Dr Murphy and the rest of the team must also navigate the complexities of their own changing relationships as they continue to deal with life-and-death situations.

Deadline has revealed that Kayla Cromer and Wavyy Jonez have joined the cast, which includes Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim, Fiona Gubelmann as Dr. Morgan Reznick, Will Yun Lee as Dr. Alex Park, Paige Spara as Lea Dilallo, Noah Galvin as Dr. Asher Wolke and Bria Samone Henderson as Dr. Jordan Allen.

Kayla Cromer will be playing the role of Charlene ‘Charlie’ Lukaitis, a third-year medical student who’s excited both for this rotation and the chance to work with her hero, Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore). Like Shaun, she has Autism Spectrum Disorder, and she has idolized him since she first saw the viral video of him saving a boy’s life at the San Jose airport. Empowered and energetic, her passion for surgery may only be matched by her love for Taylor Swift.

She has previously starred in “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay” and “Monster High”.  While Wavyy has previously starred in “Unsolved”.

Wavyy Jonez will play the role of Dominick ‘Dom’ Hubank, another third-year med student who is hoping this surgical rotation is just a box to check on his way to become the family doctor in his underserved community. But this former football player learns he isn’t as tough as he appears when he faints at the sight of blood. Too big to fail, Dom must overcome his newly discovered hemophobia, and will need his peer and friend Charlie to do so.

The series is created by Sony Pictures Television and ABC Signature. David Shore and Liz Friedman are executive producers and co-showrunners. Erin Gunn, Daniel Dae Kim, Mike Listo, David Kim, Sebastian Lee, Thomas L. Moran, David Hoselton, Freddie Highmore, Peter Blake, Jessica Grasl, Garrett Lerner and Shawn Williamson are also executive producers.

“The Good Doctor” returns on February 20th 2024, on ABC, and new episodes will be available to stream on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.  The previous seasons of “The Good Doctor” are available to stream now on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+.
