Last year, shortly ahead of the release of the Disney+ Original series, “Rennervations”, the show’s host, Jeremy Renner, was involved in a near-fatal snowplough accident that put the “Hawkeye” actor in hospital for a long time with blunt chest trauma and many orthopaedic injuries, including breaking eight ribs, and his left tibia, ankle, clavicle, right shoulder and more.

Jeremy was able to attend a special event for the launch of the Disney+ Original show a few months later, but was still having to use a cane to walk around.

Recently, Jeremy Renner spoke with Entertainment Tonight, where the 53-year-old actor revealed that he’s feeling “strong.”

“[I’m doing] probably 90 percent of all the things I needed to be doing… I think another six months will be hopefully running [more]… I got to set goals for myself. I’ll do whatever I can… whatever it takes to get better, to get stronger.  t’s a one-way street, this recovery. The rest of my life is about health and wellness. Recovery will be part of the rest of my life, so I look forward to it, man. There’s always something to do to get better, be stronger, be happier, be healthier, and that’s what I look forward to.”

The accident could have very easily killed Jeremy and the actor is very much aware how lucky he was, saying:

“I can’t believe I’m sitting here right now. I’m very grateful. I’m very happy that I’m moving forward in life, and I’m happy to share this life with the amazing people who I love.”

When asked if he would return as “Hawkeye”, he replied:

“I’m always game. I’m gonna be strong enough, that’s for sure. I’ll be ready. All those guys come to my bedside and they’ve been with me all along through this recovery, so… if they want me, they could have me. It would be something.”

With the amount of stunt work required to do a Marvel film or show, Jeremy has to be really fit to return, though with the use of stunt doubles and computer-generated graphics, anything he can’t do can likely be reproduced.  Hopefully, we might see Hawkeye return for the upcoming “Avengers” films or in a “Young Avengers” film or a second Disney+ series with Kate Bishop.

While we wait to see if Jeremy is going to return as Hawkeye, you can check out his previous appearance in the “Hawkeye” series, plus the “Avengers” films, “Thor” and “Captain America: Civil War” on Disney+.
