Hulu Drops Sean “Diddy” Combs Reality Show
Following allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, it has been revealed that production on the upcoming reality series, “Diddy+7”, has stopped, and Hulu has scrapped the project.
The upcoming project was being developed by James Corden‘s production company, Fulwell 73, who is behind the hit series, “The Kardashians”. The show was still in the “nascent stages,” but camera crews had been spotted with Sean Combs at multiple times earlier this year.
Going by the working title of “Diddy+7”, the show was going to profile Diddy’s entire family and his kid’s businesses. . Sean Combs is known for founding his own record label, Bad Boy Records, in 1993. He has produced and cultivated artists such as the Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher. Sean Combs has also had his own success as a performer with multiple albums.
According to the Rolling Stone, 23 companies have severed ties with the rapper following multiple allegations of sexual assault and abuse. Many of the companies that have dropped their connection with Sean Combs have said it was made in light of the accusations, though it’s unknown when Hulu made the decision to cancel the show’s development.
Earlier this month, Sean Combs released a public statement denying the allegations:
“Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
