One of the most anticipated Marvel Studios films currently in development is “Deadpool 3”, which will see Ryan Reynolds return as the “Merc With A Mouth” and also returning to our screens as Wolverine, will be Hugh Jackman.

Since the announcement of Hugh Jackman’s involvement in the film, many fans have wondered how the new “Deadpool” film will deal with Wolverine joining the MCU, since the character was killed off in “Logan”.

Recently, Hugh Jackman spoke with Radio Andy on SiriusXM, and confirmed that the film will include a device to jump around timelines, by saying:

“But then I just put it aside and I was like, ‘No, no I’m done.’ And then we made ‘Logan’ and I was super happy with it. But all because of this device they have in the Marvel world of moving around timelines now we can go back, because, you know, it’s science. And so I don’t have to screw with the ‘Logan’ timeline which was important to me, and I think probably to the fans too.”

Time travel isn’t new to Marvel, time travel was a major storyline in “Deadpool 2”, with Cable jumping through time to change time, and in the X-Men films, Wolverine, already travelled back in time during “X-Men: Days Of Future Past”.

Plus, within the MCU, with the Disney+ Original series, “Loki” introducing the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and “Avengers: Endgame” using the Quantum Realm for time travel, plus all of the films and shows phases 4, 5 and 6 are part of the “Multiverse Saga”, it seems an easy way to bring these characters from the Fox Marvel universe over to the MCU, especially as we’ve already seen previous versions of characters in both “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness”, what Hugh Jackman is talking about, makes sense.

“Deadpool 3” is scheduled to begin filming next year and is due to be released first in cinemas on November 8th, 2024.

The first two “Deadpool” films and “Logan” are available to stream now on Disney+.
