It looks like the new Hawkeye Marvel series for Disney+ might have found its “Kate Bishop” as Variety is reporting that Hailee Steinfeld could be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Haliee Steinfeld has previously starred in major blockbuster movies like Pitch Perfect and the Transformers movie, Bumblebee.  She will also star in the upcoming Apple series “Dickinson,” in which she will play the famous 19th century poet Emily Dickinson.

The series would show Clint Barton teaching Kate Bishop how to be a excellent archer and hero, as in the comic books, she takes up the mantle of Hawkeye.  She has also been part of the young Avengers, so it would be a good way of bringing the character to the big screen or even her own series.

Jeremy Renner will be returning as Hawkeye in the new series, which is due to hit the new streaming service in Fall 2021.   Disney hasn’t yet confirmed this casting news.

What do you think of this casting choice?

I heard that Haliee Stenfeld was in the movie called Bumblebee where she played Charlie Watson. She's amazing.
