One of the new exclusive Disney+ Original Marvel shows will be Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which sees Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan return to the roles they’ve played in major Marvel movies such as Avengers: Endgame and Captain America: Civil War.

During an interview with Men’s Health, actor Anthony Mackie revealed that filming will begin this October in Atlanta for the new series.

He also revealed he isn’t sure how they will incorporate Falcon’s new status as Captain America:

“I’m guessing I’m Fal-Cap, or . . . I don’t know. I haven’t even seen a script.”

He confirmed that he has a 10 movie deal to appear as Falcon, but he is also uncertain about how that works with the Disney+ show, saying

“I just wait for the phone call”

We don’t yet know when the new show will be available on Disney+, other than its coming within the first year of the new streaming service.

During the interview, Anthony also spoke about the importance of his role and the importance of having these films about diverse superheroes.

“I knew the magnitude of Black Panther, just like I knew the magnitude of Wonder Woman.  I’ve been saying for years: If you’re going to make any movie, you make those two movies, because they’re going to make a trillion dollars. They represent a whole different sector of our society that’s underrepresented and underappreciated.”
