2025 is going to be a busy year for Disney fans, as plenty of new original shows and films will be coming to Disney+ throughout the year.

Plenty of well-known characters will return to our screens, including Percy Jackson, Doctor Who, and even Stitch! Plus, plenty of other new animated shows and blockbuster films will head to Disney+.

This is just a list of some of the shows and movies heading to the streaming service in the year ahead that are part of the Disney brand, so it doesn’t include Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel or National Geographic titles.

Here’s the rundown of Disney releases in 2025:

Goosebumps: The Vanishing

“Goosebumps: The Vanishing” begins with fraternal twins Devin and Cece adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.

The entire series will be released on Disney+ and Hulu on January 10th 2025.

Percy Jackson And The Olympians – Season 2

The second season is based on the second instalment of Disney Hyperion’s best-selling book series titled “The Sea of Monsters” by award-winning author Rick Riordan. In the new season, Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.

Phineas and Ferb –  New Season

The new season of “Phineas and Ferb” will follow the inventive step brothers as they tackle another 104 days of summer. Candace is more determined than ever to finally bust her little brothers while their pet platypus, Perry, continues to lead a double life as the suave Agent P whose sole mission is to thwart Dr. Doofenshmirtz from taking over the Tri-State area

StuGo

“StuGo” is an original animated series about six middle schoolers who get tricked into attending a fake academic summer camp by a mad scientist. They were looking forward to three months of learning, but will have to settle for the adventure of a lifetime on a tropical island filled with mind-reading manatees, giant fighting fungi and fashion-forward mutants.

This new original series will be coming to Disney+ in Spring 2025.

Doctor Who – Season 2

The Doctor and his companion, Ruby Sunday, travel across time and space, with adventures all the way from the Regency era in England to war-torn future worlds. Throughout their adventures in the TARDIS – a time-travelling ship shaped like a police box – they encounter incredible friends and dangerous foes, including a terrifying bogeyman and the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet.

The War Between The Land And The Sea

When a fearsome and ancient species emerges from the ocean, dramatically revealing themselves to humanity, an international crisis is triggered. With the entire population at risk, UNIT steps into action as the land and sea wage war.

This all-new “Doctor Who” spinoff is coming to Disney+ in 2025 .

The Doomies

The Doomies follows best friends Bobby and Romy, who accidentally open a portal to the underworld, transforming their serene coastal town into a hotbed of monstrous activity.

RoboGobo

Boy genius, Dax, adopted five misfit pets and lovingly trained them to become ROBOGOBO, a team of super-heroes who rescue other animals in need.

“Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip”

This new original film follows 11-year-old Alexander and his family as they embark on a dream Spring Break vacation to Mexico City only to have all their plans go terribly wrong when they discover a cursed idol. The family is put to the test until they resolve to return the idol to its rightful home.

The all-new family comedy will premiere exclusively on Disney+ on March 28th, 2025.

Moana 2

Moana and Maui reunite three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

Coming to Disney+ in early 2025.

Mufasa: The Lion King

Exploring the unlikely rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa: The Lion King enlists Rafiki to relay the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature schtick. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone, until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a threatening and deadly foe.

Coming to Disney+ in early 2025.

Snow White

“Disney’s Snow White,” a live-action musical reimagining of the classic 1937 film, opens exclusively in theaters March 21st, 2025 and it will be coming to Disney+ a few months later.

Freakier Friday

In the film, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endure an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.

This new movie hits cinemas on August 8th 2025, so it will be arriving on Disney+ in late 2025.

Lilo & Stitch

A live-action reimagining of Disney’s 2002 animated classic, “Lilo & S3tch” is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugi3ve alien who helps to mend her broken family.

This new original film arrives in cinemas on May 23rd 2025 and will be coming to Disney+ a few months later.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0

In the next iteration of Disney Junior’s Emmy Award-winning global hit series “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse 2.0”, Mickey and pals welcome everyone back to the clubhouse for all-new adventures filled with songs, laughs, handy helping, and fun new surprises.

How We Became the Biggest Band in the World

This new series follows three members of a mega-famous pop group, Electric Bloom, as they look back and tell the story of their band and friendship, starting with the day they all met in middle school. The girls go on a journey to becoming the biggest band in the world and the best friends in the universe.

Vampirina

“Vampirina” follows a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Living amongst humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire secret, something that’s made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school.
