At the Sundance Film Festival, Disney held a special world premiere event at Park City’s Library Center Theatre in Park City, Utah, for the upcoming Disney Original Movie, “Out Of My Mind”, which will be coming to Disney+ later this year.

The film tells thte story of Melody Brooks, who is navigating sixth grade as a non-verbal wheelchair user who has cerebral palsy. With the help of some assistive technology and her devoted, exuberant allies, Melody shows that what she has to say is more important than how she says it.

In attendance were the movie’s stars Phoebe-Rae Taylor (Melody Brooks), Rosemarie DeWitt (Diane Brooks), Luke Kirby (Chuck Brooks), Judith Light (Mrs. V.), Michael Chernus (Mr. Dimming) and Courtney Taylor (Katherine), as well as members of the movie’s creative team, including director Amber Sealey, writer Daniel Stiepleman, producers Peter Saraf and Dan Angel and executive producer Eddie Rubin. Also in attendance was Sharon M. Draper, author of the popular young adult novel Out of My Mind, on which the movie is based.

Director Amber Sealey introduced the film, which was followed by a Q&A with the cast and creative team.
