“Disney Insider” is back with another look at three big things happening in the Walt Disney Company. In this episode, the Disney+ Original Series takes a look at how the music was composed for the new Walt Disney Animation Studios film, “Encanto;” how National Geographic transition its photography from day to night; and a new Mickey Mouse exhibition.

The best of these featurettes to me was the one about “Encanto.” I am looking forward to the new movie when it hits Disney+. I haven’t gone to see it in theaters so I can’t wait to see it. I usually enjoy featurettes like this that show how the music behind new movie came together. I still enjoyed this one, but I wasn’t as enthralled with it as I have been for behind the scenes featurettes of other movies. I don’t know why. I liked it, but it didn’t grab my attention like others have.

The other two featurettes also did their jobs well, but I still wasn’t excited for them. I love National Geographic. Usually, their photography specials grab my attention, but this one only kept me mildly entertained. It was the same with the Mickey Mouse exhibition. Mickey has been one of my favorite characters since I was a child, but I’m not super excited about this featurette.

Overall, this is my least favorite episode of this show to date. I like it, but I don’t love it. I really don’t know why. All three of them did their jobs well. They gave us informative behind the scenes looks that could make some people more excited to see “Encanto,” National Geographic, or the Mickey Mouse exhibit. But, I didn’t come away from it more excited. I came away with the same excitement I already had.
