Disney is developing a brand new scripted series with Formula 1 driver Daniel Ricciardo, who has won eight Grand Prix races.  According to THR, the series is in development for Hulu and is being created by Temple Hill and Lionsgate TV.

No details have yet been revealed on what the series is going to be about, but apparently, a search is underway for a writer for the half-hour series, that is set in the world of Formula 1 racing.

Temple Hill’s Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Phoebe Zimmer, and Sydney Title are going to be executive producers on the show, along with Daniel Ricciardo.

With the series being created by Lionsgate TV and Temple Hill, it’s currently unknown if Disney will have worldwide distribution rights for Disney+.  However, it should be noted that while Lionsgate TV does make content for its own streaming service, Starz, it does also make shows for a variety of different platforms including Paramount+ and HBO Max.

What do you think about a new series being set within the world of Formula 1?
